The beer is great and so is the venue. Port City were one of the early microbrews in the DMV. Their Belgian style white ale "Optimal Wit" is one of the best beers I've ever had. They are not an IPA heavy brewery like so...More

We meet a friend there who lived in the Alexandria area. Just in time for a release party. Very friendly staff, the place was backed.

Port City Brewing has created a warm ambiance where their promising IPAs were nice to sample, although seats on Halloween night were in very short supply.

Port City Brewing Company may be the largest brewery in the Washington, D.C. area when it comes to space. It's in Alexandria, Virginia and comes with a large tasting room, small room in the back, patio, and indoor seating near where they brew the beer....More

Port City is a brewery a bit off the beaten track but it is well worth a visit, it has a good varied selection of beers brewed on site and I heartily recommend the Port City Porter.
