The story telling about Alexandria using buildings and streets as anchor points. Pamela's knowledge was evident in her understanding of people and places and the changing times from the mid 17th to the mid 19th centuries.

This was an amazing tour that highlighted Alexandria's history of the fight for African American freedom. Pamela was a wonderful guide, historian, and story teller. Pam took extra time during the walking tour to discuss and share from her wealth of information. I'm definitely signing up for the other Manumission tours!

Great tour of an often forgotten part of Alexandria history. Pamela had lots of information. Everyone in our group was local but there was much to learn.

This was a wonderful tour with tons of history and information packed into less than 2 hours. Pam was a stellar tour guide and was able to answer all of our questions with such insight. The stories of individuals used to illustrate the facts and physical sites were also so engaging. I appreciate the chance to learn so much and hope to attend other tours!
