Such a stunning vineyard!!!! The views of the blue ridges are beyond picturesque. Scattered through out this vineyard are an array of seating options including a glass enclosed pavilion equipped with AC and music. I could think of a more perfect place to enjoy a great white wine (really loved the Chardonnay and I am usually a Reds only gal)... More

We did a tasting then bought a bottle and sat outside to enjoy the picturesque scenery. The staff was very knowledgeable and they were extremely kind. The wine was delicious. We will definitely go back.

We were so disappointed in Afton Vineyards. They have an event called "Afton after Hours" on certain Saturday evening in the summer. There were too many rules you must adhere to. The most disturbing one is that you can not buy just a glass of wine. You must buy an entire bottle! That will cost approx $28 instead of a... More

Solid wines and beautiful, relaxing property! Lots of outdoor space for small groups to enjoy their wine outside. They also sell cheese and other light snacks.

Even on a rainy day, we were able to enjoy the views at Afton Mountain Vineyards. The grounds are lovely, but the tasting room is on the small size and it got rather crowded. As for the wines served during the tasting, they were just ok. I wish some of them would have stood out, but they all seemed to... More

We had never stopped at Afton Mountain, even though we drove by regularly, and decided to change that on this trip. Their wines were good but not outstanding. We did buy a bottle and some food, and enjoyed the view for an hour or so. Would we go back? Sure, since wines change every year. Their wines were solid, just... More

My daughter and I went on a Sunday for the wine tasting. We both shared a glass and liked the Albarino. We generally like sweet wines so we had the Muscat. We enjoyed chatting with the young lady and afterwards sat in the living area. It was quiet with lovely music playing in the background. I noticed when leaving that... More

Arriving with a group of 8 mature adults (many from as far away as W. Canada, and one a part owner of a Canadian winery!) we were literally escorted away from the front entrance to be scolded that groups of 8 or more must book in advance or are not allowed to tour/taste. The buildings were not busy and it... More

We are sorry that we were not able to accommodate your group! Our tastings and sales are held in a renovated home in the middle of the vineyards. Our spaces are small and intimate. Yes, we have a reservations requirement for all groups of more than 6 people and this policy is posted on our website, voicemail and three signs... More

The views are worth the jaunt down to Nelson county. The wine has a long history of being excellent and only gets better every year. The owners are there to greet you with warm and open arms, and their staff is too.
