We picked up a van ride from Abington to the start of the trail at White Mountain. The first 17 or so miles to Damascus is mostly downhill, sometimes a bit steep. There were a few washed out sections, but nothing too bad and it...More

We had a great time riding down the Virginia Creeper Trail. It was an easy 17 miles (mostly a gradual down hill). We stopped at a little cafe about halfway down along the trail for lunch. A couple of days before our ride I made...More

This scenic rail to trail park extends for about 34 miles from Damascus, Va to Abingdon. I walked for about an hour and a half and really liked it. There seemed to be a lot of trees along the trail. I'm guessing this would be...More

Any time is great. Fall is beautiful! If you go in October, reserve your bike rental ahead of time. It's very busy! Temperatures vary, probably in the 60s.
