Look carefully our you'll drive right past this NPS historic site. The visitor's center does have a few artifacts and helpful reviews about the historical context of the battle of King's Mountain, and it's role in the American Revolution. I was glad I went, but...More

We stopped by the Muster Grounds and had a very educational time. The person who was handling the visitor center was very knowledgeable about the "Over Mountain Men".

We went on Abingdon Muster Ground annual Civil War weekend. So two wars for the price of one. The site itself has a creek, a small museum, two historical markers and is the trail head for the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail. If you go...More

We really enjoyed visiting here. There was a civil war reenactment and camp the day we went. My whole family enjoyed it. Be sure to visit the museum while there too.
