Many people have been to wineries and experienced the opportunity of tasting a variety of palate sensations. But how many have had the opportunity of tasting the intense flavors that can be found in specialty olive oils and balsamic vinegars? This was our experience at this wonderful and unusual establishment. We stopped in just before closing and were greeted by... More

I took my sister, who was visiting here recently. We had a wonderful time being educated on the oils and vinegars and enjoyed the tastings. Sales people were friendly, helpful and not pushy. My sister placed an order to be sent to her daughter. When the package arrived, it was not what was ordered. The Olive Oil Company was very... More

Super friendly staff with wide selection of olive oils, vinegars and spices. We were on a tight schedule, so the owner gave us a shortened version of the full tour with tasting, then allowed us to taste other options at our own pace. If possible, give yourself an hour here. Oils and vinegars are amazing and incredibly delicious--we went home... More

Abingdon olive oil company is a great little specialty shop tucked away in a beautiful historic home in Abingdon. On a friend outing we stopped by to check out their selection and man were we surprised. Whether you are a chef or a recreational cook there is something for everyone. The selection of olive oils and vinegars are nothing short... More

This was our destination in Abingdon. After hearing friends rave about their experience here, we decided that we had to come. It is in an amazing Victorian home on Main Street and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the oils and vinegars. The best part was the ability to try different combinations and flavors for yourself. There was no... More

When the olive oil company opened, I hesitated to visit, suspecting that a town of our small size could not support such a speciality shop. That initial scepticism was my loss! Visiting the tasting room is joy for the senses. The quality and variety of oil and vinegar products is unsurpassed. I frequently take out of town guests here to... More

So, I always hated olive oil. I would use peanut oil, grape seed oil, soy oil, etc., but always thought the olive oil from the supermarket tasted funky.....and it was funky. Most supermarket purchased oils have been on the shelf way too long and have gone rancid. Also, many producers send the poorer quality batches to the U.S. This cannot... More
