When I moved here in July 1988, this glorious spring fed pool epitomized Austin for me - appreciation of natural wonders coupled with community access to it. A new mural is going in that captures the pool's place in Austin lore.
Cool (literally) spring-fed pool with grass spots to lay out. Be careful of ants. They were having a family movie night the day I was there, but we didn't stay. Pool isn't chlorinated, so that smell doesn't linger.
The water is cool, 69-70 degrees Fahrenheit all the time! The pool is spring fed so it has no chlorine which is great for the skin. There are plenty of trees to find shade from the might Texas heat. Showers and changing facilities are adequate.

Great for a hot Austin day! Nice pool...very cold water! We were on the steeper hill, so it was a bit difficult for the littles to climb and play/relax out of the water. Get there early for good parking!
