There were a couple fun parts, but lots of the parts/clues were broken and we ended up being able to use one key for multiple locks; which wasn't supposed to happen. Only like 2 of our 10 flashlights worked so I had to manage without one. We got out in 25 minuets when you are given an entire hour. Not worth the money in my opinion; just OK at best.

We were celebrating friends on their 12 year anniversary, it was 6 of us. It was all but 1 of our first times and we didn’t know what to expect. We did prison break at the highest difficulty level which they say is the hardest room. I have to admit I was with a group of some of the smartest amazing people I know and overall I think we did a great job as far as team work but we fell short of finishing. In the end we had a blast, we definitely want to go back. The staff was very friendly, and we just loved our guide Michael he was the sweetest! I think the escape room exceeded our expectations of fun. The game was definitely challenging and more fun if done in a bigger group. We will definitely be going back.

Side note: My group consisted of a woman who was 9 months pregnant, a woman who just had minor surgery, and a man who was claustrophobic...saying this to say I think anyone can do it because there is not too much moving around or extraneous activity.

Family of 5: parents, 2 teens, 1 smart 8 yr old.

First visit: We did the playground first. Everyone loved it. There was something for everyone to do to contribute/ play. That visit had lots of laughter. 5 stars.

Second visit: gold rush w family and a couple we’d never met b4. Had a great time. Everyone was laughing, had stuff they could solve. 5 stars

*Found out later that tight entries to other rooms & slides can be bypassed. In case u don’t/ can’t crawl.

Third visit: Classified. This game was horrible. Very claustrophobic w tiny rooms.

Sharp object fell off shelf on 8 yr olds head. I stopped w him to get ice and sit down. (2 of 5 players out)

Puzzle was convoluted. Safe wouldn’t open. Markers were dried up which made room 2 difficult. Things were up too high for 8 yr old to reach after room 1.

Older kid couldn’t take the sm dark room. Youngest kid was still upset w a goose egg. (3 of 5 players out).

We stopped playing & left. Game rating: 1 star 😢

Staff was nice. Offered to refund classified, but it was on prepaid cards.

Generally speaking, this place was fun and everyone enjoyed it—except Classified.

And these are real escape rooms—not puzzle rooms.

Rating was averaged over 3 games.

I was with my husband and a good friend of ours and none of us had ever done an Escape Room before. The guy who helped us make the reservation (I think his name was Payton) was great! Just great energy, really helpful, and really patient.
When we arrived for our appointed time, the guy who explained to us how everything would work was dealing with us and 2 large groups all at the same time. He did a great job and still gave all of us the proper attention (sorry I don't remember his name). Last of all, the girl (I think her name was Mollie) who led us to our room and then greeted us at the end of our hour had GREAT energy.
The escape room itself was awesome. Great clues, great story, and had us on the edge of our toes, finishing in a rush with only 12 seconds left! It was a great time. I highly recommend going to Escape Game Austin. I'm from Houston so I can only hope the one in Houston is just as great.

The facility was clean and employees were really great and seem to enjoy their job! The mystery was fun, however, my friend and I didn’t get to help much as we were paired with a group of 4 ladies and a couple. My only complaint is was crowded. I think the maximum amount of people in 1 escape room should be 4 so everyone has a chance to channel their inner Nancy Drew and solve a few puzzles. Other than that I’d like to go this again!

We had two families play together with ages ranging from adult, 16, 14, 13, 10 and 9 years. The Gold Rush game was fun and challenging for us. The scenes are well put together and there are little surprises here and there. The slide was a big hit!

We did the Heist with our family-- 2 adults, 3 kids (ages 14, 12, 9) and everyone had a blast. There was enough to be doing/searching for that even the 9 year old was participating and contributing. They were so excited (and proud) when we completed the game with 3 minutes to spare. They want to do every game now.

Our family group really enjoyed our time at Austin Tx Escape. This is a fabulous venue for those who want to be challenged in a safe environment. We had one hour to find our way out of the 2nd most challenging of the different room environments. Not-easy-clues are provided for guests to figure out how to escape from one room to another. The Escape folks in Austin are to be congratulated for their outstanding choice of clues provided to the contestants. Great fun. We only had about 13 minutes left of the hour provided, to finally ESCAPE!!!

And... the first one that I have ever completed.

Did a more difficult one in The Domain, it was not near as fun, nor with the details and opening rooms and all.
This one was fantastic, did it with another family. A total of 8. For an 11 year old girls Birthday Party.
The administrator gave us just enough clues and help when needed, even when we didn't ask. As he saw us struggling.

We completed without even a minute to spare. At 40 seconds! WOW!

The folks at Escape Game were very excited to work discovering an engagement ring into the puzzle. It worked perfectly. They gave us exactly the right clues to discover the ring in place of the final key with just minutes to spare, peek excitement, and my now fiancée announced “this is awfully fancy for an escape room, it must be a clue” before I stepped in with “I know how to solve this one.” It could not have gone better or been more fun or memorable. This is the best escape room business you could hope for.
