Well we got checked in and asked where we could grab a bite to eat and he sent us to the elephant room. It's a differant scene, punk like live music. It's in a basement and it's dirty with a smell like old building mold....More

Great band here, although hard to hear it with people talking. If you're hear for the music, sit as close to the band as possible (seems like folks talk less up there). Lots of beers on draft. Not a lot of sophisticated cocktail options, but...More

A hole in the wall? Actually a hole in the basement. Really a fun way to enjoy Austin on any afternoon. We weren't there late enough for the dynamite live music, but we still got a "feel" for the place through our friendliest of bartenders,...More

We looked up Trip Advisor as usual when first arriving and selected The Elephant Room. And yeh, as we like our music this place proved to be interesting, with its downstairs and speakeasy atmosphere. The barman, Will was welcoming, although busy, and importantly for us,...More

The bartender at our dinner restaurant suggested this club so we gave it a try. Very cool, good jazz, full bar. I wish they had chips or pretzels or something to nibble with the drinks. Other than that, great fun and no complaints.

I wasn't there with a car either. I flew into Austin airport, took public transportation downtown to my hotel. From there I walked everywhere including to the Elephant Room. I did notice a few parking lots nearby. I think if... More

I am sorry, but do not know. There is a bar and they server liquor. I would suggest checking their website if they have one.
