There were only 150 people (maybe) at the concert we attended. Plenty of room, good view of the musician, good quality sound for an acoustic musician, and they sell beer, wine, and spirits. Can't go wrong with attending a concert at Cactus Cafe. Could, however,...More

I hadn't been to the Cactus for a long while. What an Austin gem! I was there on a Saturday night. Great folk music. Bartenders knew their beers, and the draft selection was full of good local brews. I had a Berliner Weise for the...More

Very nice, intimate music venue in the heart of UT campus. It's historical and legendary. If you're in the area, come check it out.

Actually on the campus and a theatre with beer and wine served outside. My son loves live music but at age 16 can't get into a lot of the venues so this was a fun alternative.

On the UT campus in the student union, this bar venue hosted Jim Lauderdale. Great intimate location. Holds about 125 folks.

Inside the Student Union Bldg. Holds about 100 or so folks. Good bar inside. Come early and get in line and you can sit right up front at the artist's stage. Good acoustics and a mellow appreciative crowd. Check the line-ups and you can hear...More
