We have been members for about 8-10 years. We were members of other clubs previously. From swim to tennis to golf, there are activities for everyone. Women's Association offers a lot of activities alone. The food is always wonderful. Chef Bob knows what he is doing. I don't think there is one staff member we could say anything negative about. Everybody is always welcoming and treats us like family. We love it!!

Great course, although you can only play with a member or by special arrangement through certain other courses. Challenging, yet very enjoyable course. I wish I could play it all the time!

I'm a lucky man. I have had the opportunity to play all of the top courses in Texas, and most of the top 10 in the world. This is my favorite in Texas, If you shoot a good number on this course, you have played a great round of golf. Prior to the redo a year ago it was a great layout, but the condition of the course could be questionable at times. Now the greens and fairways are great. It is visually stunning and a delight to play. It is easy to walk. If you get the opportunity to play, don't pass it up.

Agree with the other reviewers, a must play if you get the opportunity. Immaculately conditioned and an impressive Pete Dye layout. Every approach shot is an adventure, visually and actually intimidating. First class all the way. And you must have your picture taken at the Harvey Penick/Tom Kite statue by the outstanding practice facility.

I have been driving by this golf course for 30 years but never had the opportunity to play it. The Austin County Club is the most elite private club in Austin. Not sure how you become a member but I am sure it involves a lot of dollar bills. But today I was here to attend the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. It is a PGA golf tournament and no I was not one of the top 64 players but just a spectator.
Before heading to my special club seating area I decided to explore this golf course. The grounds are nicely kept up and the holes look very challenging. There are a lot of oak trees to find shade or block your shot. Located right on the banks of Lake Austin with a tremendous view of the Pennybacker Bridge.
The clubhouse is nice and has a nice pro shop inside where the merchandise is high quality. The staff is very professional.
As for hosting the golf tournament they performed an excellent job. It was very easy to get around, delicious food, great spots to view the action, and transportation to and from this venue.

The food is just mediocre at best. Didn't play gold, but did eat here and the Yelp reviews are spot on; average food. The views and location is great, just better places to eat in the area.

If you are lucky enough to get invited to play with a member, jump at it. Best course in 75 mile radius. Great facility. Nice people.
