I was born and raised in Austin so I am use to going down Guadalupe - has good resturants, stores along the way, easy to take the bus if needed, but often gets crowded but watch out - alot of homeless people and weird people too. Hang on to your purse/wallet, never know who will rip you off. It's a shame it's gotten to be like that.

Casual stroll, unique dining without the exorbitant price and mingle among the college attendees to UT, while enjoying the Longhorn vibe of Austin. Best to park nearby, while just continue on foot to explore ;sometimes even attend a gallery or go to a game at the stadium.

HIgh rents have driven out most of the interesting local businesses on the Drag and except for Bite Me and Flying Felafel & Po'Boys, the food options are overpriced and substandard.

Really cool area of Austin that is fun to walk, shop and eat in! Lots of great restaurants so you can feed your inner self.
Parking is limited but worth looking around for. Go enjoy a fun day in this great area.

Another interesting street, with restaurants, bars, and shops. I walked along it to kill some time and enjoy a sunny day.

Lots of interesting food places, good to walk around and very friendly people. Check it out. We spent a while there, as well as driving down on a regular basis and it is very accessible.

Congested but a fun place to gout for the night. Alot of places to go to. Be careful with the traffic.

We were mainly looking for the artisan vendors for the most part but we were told by the 3-4 that were there it was a slow time (Jan 2) and that before Christmas and during school semesters we'd have had more shopping choices. We did go to University Coop for souveniers and got our parking validated so it was only $3. Also ate at Kerbey Lane Cafe with 5 little kids in tow and that worked out wonderfully.
