Quite lovely although there weren't many flowers as it was January when we visited. Lovely landscaping and nice gift shop. They had beautiful gifts although a bit pricey.

It was a peaceful little stop that we enjoyed so much. The colors of everything around us just kept us engaged. Got some great shots, and some nice time away from the craziness of the city.

We came for a program on monarch butterflies. What a delightful afternoon with my kids! They especially enjoyed the Japanese gardens. I enjoyed walking under the trees -- there aren't many places in Central Texas with trees like this.

We went here in December so not everything was in bloom but it was still a really nice place to visit. It is dog friendly so if your dog is on a leash and well behaved, it's a great place to go. This botanical garden...More

While the gardens are probably beautiful in the spring and summer, we visited in early December to find only a few roses left on the bushes, and no butterflies in the butterfly garden. Definitely visit in warmer weather!

This was a wonderful afternoon. We brought a puppy and he had a great time. Children would also enjoy this. It is also very cheap. I highly recommend this for visitors and people that live in the city.

The gardens are a nice diversion from Texas - lots of greenery and quiet. The dinosaur garden is enjoyable with a nod to those who walked the land before us. Worth the visit!

While there are no picnic tables, I doubt that anyone on staff will tell you to get out if they see you eating. Definitely no fires.

I wish there were but at this time there is no cafe or restaurant. There are many restaurants down the street toward Lamar Boulevard.
