If you are a Texas history buff like me, you will love this 1885 luxury hotel in downtown Austin. Staff are trained in the hotel's past and have hundreds of ghost stories and tales of its cattle rancher founder, Sam Driskill. The present owners have...More

What a beautiful hotel! We enjoyed a fabulous Saturday bruch and I can say the pecan waffle is amazing, shaped like the state of Texas and smothered in delicious ripe berries, it did not need any butter, nor syrup. One of the best bloody marys...More

I did not stay here but went for drinks and to be in awe of the architecture and decor. A trip to Austin is not complete without a walk through to see such an iconic landmark. The bar/lounge is first rate as are the drinks.

Just stopped in The Driskill to have one of their signature cocktails and look around the lobby. Wish we would have more time to wander around and possibly stay there

This hotel is a beautifully preserved piece of Austin's history. The dining/ rooms are high end priced, but the service is well worth it. And, if you are lucky, you could also experience one of the resident ghosts ;)
