My wife and I have literally been to flea markets and antique malls From coast to coast and this is by far our favorite. This is not your typical antique store selling crafts and reproductions and junk. The name of this store says it all. This is our second time here and we only get to visit when we come to Austin to visit our son but we may be visiting our son more just to stop here. ;). If you like different and unique items, you need to stop here. Even if you don’t find anything to buy the store is just awesome!

If you Google "Weird things to do in Austin"(or something like that), Uncommon Objects will likely come up. If you've never been inside an antique store, this place will be novel and exciting. If you're a geeky weirdo like me who has been to many a antique store in America, small and large, this place is still relatively fun but not thrilling and not the best use if your time if have limited vacation time in Austin. If dead animals creep you out, such as dead mice heads glued onto toy dolls and holiday cards, then you might want to avoid this place. Friendly and welcoming staff! Amurr'ca!

This place is amazing! I could spend hours looking at the objects packed into every nook and cranny of this place. The place is the perfect way to spend an day if you are even remotely interested in curios and antiques. There is truly something for everyone. The floor design and layout was perfect to keep a glow flow as you make your way through the maze of curios. The displays were set up with color schemes that provided an inviting feel and entertained the senses. Save up if you need to because you will want to leave with something to remember you time browsing through history and humor. Some of the prices were a little more than I had expected but I didn’t leave empty handed. We didn’t not have any spiritual encounters on this trip. I suspect that there were too many visitors. I will go on another day other than the weekend next time I am here.

The aesthetic of this place is phenomenal. The different presentations and collections make you feel in a vintage madhouse. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that it seems more like a museum than an antique shop to buy things.

Though I was very much looking forward to browsing this operation I did not find it at all interesting or valuable. Workers were busy talking amongst themselves, not wanting to help customers. I asked to see something in the glass case~had to wait a long while. Once she finally handed it to me I asked a question about it. She had no clue. Needless to say, I purchased nothing. Returning is not an option for me. I am DONE with it.
