This area is a fantastic place to wander around, eat, window shop, and enjoy what Austin represents. My family came here for lunch one day and dinner the next because there are so many good places to choose from.

I toured this area from a bus tour. It is a historical part of Austin local restaurants, shopping and food trucks. Many of the retail stores are a little pricey but a nice area and feels like your going back into the past.

We ate at Home Slice, loved the pizza and atmosphere. The whole area is great. Try the food trailers.

There are some fun stores in SoCo. A must go to - Uncommon goods you can spend a day there. The store is stuffed with everything under the sun. There are 2 boot shops, a hat shop and a costume shop...

Enjoyed walking around to look at some shops and even had lunch and some coffee. Fun area. Be prepared to walk in the heat and search for parking (we payed for the garage $2/ hour). Overall, a good way to burn time in Austin.

Awesome! If you are into vintage clothing and items this is the place to be. Make sure you use the restroom and bring water. It will be difficult to find these items if you are not dining in the restaurants. Lot of the jewelry stores and booths with beautiful handcrafted pieces. The jewelry vendors that are averaged priced are more... More

SoCo is a district of interestingly different businesses for people who like to get away from the usual shopping areas. Antiques shops and businesses that help to "Keep Austin Weird" as the slogan goes.

Take your time. It is a long walk through wonderful shops, bars and restaurants. Happy to find a Tourchy's for lunch. The junk/antique stores are interesting and full of many treasures.

Great shopping, great restaurants, great people watching. We ate at Gueros, had coffee at Jo's and bought a number of things in a couple of the eclectic venues
