If you like music, this is the place to be. Look at cd's, records, fun items too. Nice place to check out. Across from the Book People too.

The sign of a great record store is the passion put into the decor and the accompanying merchandize. Waterloo matches up to other epic old-school record stores found in San Fran and Atlanta. You can find gem after gem, but you need to have the time to dig. In their second room you will find unbelievable vinyl box sets that... More

If you enjoy music, this is a great place to shop. The store offers an incredible variety of old and new CDs and vinyl records. It also has some of the cutest socks I have ever seen. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were glad we took the time to stop and shop. There is limited parking in front... More

Having read about the great record stores in America, I always saw Waterloo Records listed. When I knew I was going to be in Austin, as an avid music collector, I knew I wanted to go to Waterloo Records. I have to say: I was disappointed. I'm not necessarily into new vinyl or alternative music, so maybe that's what was... More

Waterloo gives you a true taste of Austin's music scene. It's got a ton of old records and CDs. Definitely worth stopping in and walking around if you are in the area. Not many stores left like this in the US.

Independent record (CD) stores have just about been wiped off the face of the planet by the internet, and what a shame. The folks that work here are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share with you, the selection is remarkable in virtually every music category 9maybe not classical?), both in CDs, used CDs, and vinyl. A 20-minute walk form the... More

I didn't intend to spend any money here and walked out with three used CDs. This is one of those places I could spend hours in combing through the aisles of CDs.

An all round top notch record store as there is something for everyone. I was looking for more used county selections but they do have the best selection of new vinyl.

There are not many places left in America like Waterloo records. There are a few places in Athens, GA and Nashville, a few in New York, Chicago, L.A., San Fran, and all share the same mojo as Waterloo - tons of old and new music in literally all formats, PLUS they have an entire movie section, to boot. Great staff,... More
