Our first night in Austin we got to see Alice Cooper here. Definitely check dates that you are traveling to catch a great concert! Not a bad seat in the house and we were at the very top seats. They have pictures of artists that have performed there hanging up to gaze at in awe! Amazing venue!

Visited The Moody Theater for the first time this week to see Maxwell. Venue is easy to find downtown with plenty of parking options available. The venue is small, and intimate. I had front row floor seats, but from what I could see, there wasn't a bad spot in the house. The sound was just right. Staff was great! There's... More

We went to the Moody Theatre to hear an "oldie but goodie" - Gordon Lightfoot. This wasn't my best experience at Moody for a Cpl reasons. While there really isn't a bad seat in the house for seeing the stage, buyer beware. The seats are teensy! Lots of us were "oldies" too. And many people had trouble fitting in their... More

It was great seeing the Coral Reefer Band in this small setting, a different pace form their full stage setting. The bars before the show was great, and the seating was perfect. Although we were high, we were right on top of the music. I encourage you to check out this unique venue.

The Moody Theater was great to watch a live show. Plenty of bars and bathroom lines moved quickly. The lobby at each level is open air--sort of like being at a stadium, but when you enter the theater doors it is indoors/more traditional. I bought seats on the main floor. These are not built in theater seats--but sort of nicer... More

Have always wanted to see these two live. Was not disappointed! The Moody Theater is a great venue. Small enough to be intimate but big enough to enjoy. Staff were helpful and polite. Parked in the surface lot on the block between 2nd and 3rd as advised in other reviews.

I love this venue. I wish every concert I ever wanted to see was at this venue. I have been to concerts standing in general admission on the floor all the way to being seated in the last row of the top section. There really isn't a bad seat or spot in this place. The sound isn't great when you... More

We saw Sturgill Simpson's ACL show and it was great! We had balcony seats and the view was perfect! The line was all the way around the building when we got there but it moved pretty quickly. The sound was really good. I look forward to seeing another show there, it's worth the drive from Houston!

Other than obstructed view seats, not a bad seat at this venue; I think mezzanine or balcony better than floor seating, and cheaper; great acoustics; just saw Peter Frampton, great show; drinks pricey but not crazy pricey. My favorite music venue in Austin. And, good line up usually.

What an awesome show by Peter Frampton. My wife and I had floor seats so we were fairly close to the stage but every seat is in a great location. The staff was friendly and quite a few bars on every level and everywhere so getting drinks had little to no wait. It was easy to get to our seats... More
