Great cinema

Great venue with comfy seats. Food was a bonus, and nice small audience. Would definitely visit again

This was a great respite from a 96 degree day. Several small theaters with a mix of artsy and mainstream films and a busy cafe with a variety of good eats.

Love this place. It's small and has all I need. Good movie selections, great food, comfy chairs, full bar and first runs. I would go for their popcorn, it's that good. 4 hour pkg validation makes it a good date night.

I love the Violet Crown Cinema where it is a place to hangout before or after movie. Today I wanted to get out the rain and see "Hell or High Water". If you drive here park in the garage on San Antonio St just passed 2nd St, and you get 4 hours free parking when you get your voucher stamped... More

This place is movie lovers heaven!! It appears to be located in an upscale shopping and dining district with a serious hipster vibe. Six small theaters with super comfy chairs and pick your own assigned seating. If you want you can opt for recliners right in the front of the theater. Eclectic menu with freshly prepared foods. Honestly, the best... More

Not being from Texas, this was a little bit different kind of movie theater for me. It's upstairs, and has a bar, food, and eating area. You have to pick your seat before you pay! So different! There's even recliners in the first row. But, seats are very comfortable and I enjoyed the experience.

These are the type of theaters you want to watch every movie inside. An enjoyable atmosphere with outdoor area and a bar full of craft beer. The cinemas are small and boutique style; which make for a cozy movie watching experience. A lot of Indie films, as well as headliners.

I was in Austin for a week in April 2016 and enjoyed this cinema as it offered a more interesting selection of films than one expects in Texas. The seating is very comfortable with good sloping so one can see well from anywhere. My only negative would be the cafes attached which are too keen, even after you have explained... More

Love this place! Comfortable, assigned seats! Good food and drinks. But being able to see indies not available in other theaters is the best reason to go here! Also, the free garage parking is a huge plus on bad days or any day. Just get your parking stub validated and it's free. We saw two movies, back to back. No... More

We chose this theater because it is very conveniently located right in downtown Austin. There is a parking garage that is right behind the theater so that you don't have to search around for street parking. The seats are comfortable and you can order food and drinks while you watch the movie. During the movie, you just fill out little... More
