We did the Austin Eats walking food tour on Tuesday evening. Our guide, Joe, was very engaging and knowledgeable of the food options as well as the city of Austin. We enjoyed Black's Family BBQ (brisket/spicy sausage and potato salad); Detroit-style pizza, smashburgers and hand-crafted original cocktails. Definitely recommend.

We arranged a private/corporate tour for our family group of 11 plus a toddler. Callie was so accommodating about waiting for us to select a date and finalize numbers while also arranging for options for a vegan member of our group. (One tour group I contacted said they would not accommodate a toddler and a vegan.) our first stop for beer and bbq was fantastic! We also loved our pizza stop and tacos and Belgian beer. Our last stop, for gelato, was fantastic, and some of us bought extra gelato to take home. Last but not least, our guide Jill could not have done a better job. Everyone in our group, ranging from age 2 to 68, had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

Joe led us on a great BBQ, Brunch + Breweries tour! He worked very hard to make sure everyone had what they needed. We had 5 options tastings and our entire group loved them! I recommend this to everyone!

My favorite tour of a city since a bike tour of Berlin in 2015. Even though I am from Austin, I could not have picked better food and drink options. Go hungry! Would be a great gift for a new Austinite.

Can’t say enough good things about Callie & Austin Eats Food Tours. We had a large (98 person) corporate group who wanted a “brisket – making demo” included in their event. Callie has such excellent relations with Austin’s restaurants – she made everything happen exactly as requested & surpassed expectations. The guides were wonderful – very professional & knowledgeable. The venue (Stiles Switch’s BBQ) was perfect! The food was beyond delicious. Seriously the best. Bartenders & all staff were wonderful & very accommodating. And the transportation was ideal. Our client was so pleased. I HIGHLY recommend contacting Callie/Austin Eats Food Tours if you are ever in need of a creative idea for a group of any size who want a true “Austin experience.” They made my partner & I look like heroes!

Joe rocked the tour! He was so personable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Austin food. He hyped us up about every local stop and explained what we were getting. He had more food and drinks than we found ever eat, but kept convincing us to try more. Drinks on the bus were just a cherry on top. Walking in a food coma is a guarantee, but would recommend Austin Eats and request Joe

I booked Austin Eats for a corporate activity. Everyone in our group had an amazing experience and loved our food tour. Everything with Austin Eats went smoothly from the early logistic planning, curating the right activity for our group, and the day of delivery did not disappoint. From the company planners, to the tour guide to our bus driver, Austin Eats went above and beyond to ensure our group had a perfect experience and we highly recommend them. Thank you!

I booked two tour buses for a large corporate event and we pretty much maxed out our group size and had excellent attendance! The tour guides were fun and awesome, everything happened on time and exactly as anticipated, the food was great, and everything ran smoothly. It was really nice just booking with the company and letting them handle most of the planning, it really made my job a lot easier. Definitely recommend this for a group of 40 plus!!

We had a businness meeting in Austin and the food tour (you are taken by bus from restaurant to restaurant) was an evening event for our group (30 people , 4 restaurants)). It is a must-do in Austin! Scott was an awesome guide, it was perfectly organized, the chosen restaurants were something for everyone with high quality food and drinks and it was good fun. Everyone in our group loved it!

Is this a bike tour or a bus tour? Do you get to decide?
Written May 22, 2015
We were also in a car but I think they also have a bike tour. You can pick which one you want.

Visiting on Friday...do you a Austin Eats Tour on Friday or Sat evening?
Written March 18, 2015
Hi there,
I'm afraid I'm not sure as I went on the tour on a Monday. Maybe email Austin Eats Tour directly for an answer?
Thank you! Sarah

No, you visit each location as a group. They will generally provide you with seats all together, but that will be in the public dining space.
