There were so many bars that were so much fun to visit, especially Pete's Dueling Piano Bar! A lot of fun.

Best night out in any city that I've ever had. Block after block of bars, pretty expensive drinks at most of the places we went to, but it was still amazing. Be safe, kids.

If you are into this sort of thing you will find downtown Austin's party section of "sixth street" (Congress Avenue to I-35) to be very loud and filled with inebriated people. Great if you want it.

6th street is a vibrant place to be at night, I was there during the Formula 1 weekend so i'm guessing it was busier than usual. The street was completely closed down to traffic and there were lots of things all motorsport related going on....More

This is a spot to visit! Just head down 6th street until you hear the music you like or you see a bar with a fun vibe. Fun place. I think finding an 2nd story outdoor type bar like The Blind Pig would be a...More

Locals fill the streets and the bars at night. Food trucks line up with unique food offerings. A bar for everyone. Music rocks the night. Old classy buildings repurposed into one of a kind purveyors of liquor in all its forms. But underrated is walking...More

So I will only be in town for one night Saturday. Will this be the one thing to do while in Austin on a Saturday? Not a party animal but would like to get out. Is there a charge to walk in and out of the venues?

If you are there for just one night then you definitely should check out 6th Street. Most places don't have a charge but some do.
