Had never been and was blown away by the importance of objects on display and the exhibition's first-rate curation. A truly valued experience.

Took my Aunt to see the Gone with the Wind exhibit. It was all beyond our dreams. Very easy in and out of the museum. Great show with lots to see, do, read and photography. Cute gift shop area--really nice and helpful staff.

Given that the HRC holds one of the best archives in the country, it is not so surprising that they have excellent exhibits. I've been to several, and they never disappoint.

Only go if there is a show you are interested in. We were between shows and literally there was a Gutenburg Bible and "The Freida Kahlo". Have seen better of both. It was a waste of time

The galleries are closed for renovations through Aug. 16, 2016. The Gutenberg Bible, the first photograph, and a Frida Kahlo self-portrait are open for viewing. All interesting but perhaps not worth the walk from downtown, especially in the heat.

If visiting UT or the frog mural (Hi, how are you) slip on into the Harry Ransom Center with just enough art to be enjoyable. Shakespeare in print and performance currently on display but you will also find Frida Kahlo's 1940 self-portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird. They also had a few of Andy Warhol's artwork. Quite enjoyable. They do... More

Excellent photography exhibits. One of the best anywhere. Located at the Guadalupe entrance to the UT campus.

The Harry Ransom Collection in this center is one of the best art and historic collections in the world. This Museum-quality display provides an opportunity for each visitor to see a large rotating portion of this gigantic collection. Visit it often.
