We entered this building before visiting the Capitol itself and found a wealth of information. Most of it of an historic nature, but there are also lots of pamphlets available that correspond to many sites around Texas.

Great place to walk around and learn some history. The Capitol building itself is very nice in and out. The monuments in from and back are all worth a look. It looks like it would be a great place for a family picnic.

The Capitol Visitors Center is in a separate building at the SE corner of the capitol grounds. It contains historical displays, as well as a staffed information center which has lots of tourist information.
