Very good experience. We did a two hour paddle board tour. Apparently the early group we signed up for didn’t have enough folks so APS called the night before and offered to move us in with a kayak group and hour later rather than cancel us. All worked out great!! It was still a manageable size group and the guides, JT and Ryan were excellent. Both of them were very good about watching out for the group. When my wife’s paddle had adjustment issues Ryan immediately swapped it out for his. JT was obviously passionate about his craft as a consummate tour guide plus he obviously also likes architecture and is very knowledgeable about the Austin sky line. Bottom line, the two hour tour is a nicely paced activity that would be good for groups, couples or families. The guides are attentive and do a good job.

This tour was awesome! My husband and I were in town for our 2 year wedding anniversary and this was a great experience. However, we will never do tandem again.. The bats were so awesome and the cold water made the humidity bearable.

Our family had a great time on the skyline kayak tour on Lady Bird Lake. Reid had our kayaks ready to launch and the equipment was in great shape. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful city from the water, and Reid shared some info to orient the first time visitors in our group. Perfect length at 2 hours and easy enough for a beginner since the lake is not open to large watercraft or swimming.

Our two hour tour flew by! This was an awesome way to explore the Lady Bird Lake area and also get an informative tour in the process. JT was enthusiastic and was very knowledgeable about the city skyline, he helped improve our experience as we kayaked through this tour. I will go with this tour again if we’re ever in Austin.

So, so fun! Well organized and prompt. Gear was solid. Travis, our guide was knowledgeable, professional and personable. Plus we saw hundreds of thousands of bats! You’ll paddle and relax for about minutes to an hour before the first few bats make their appearance, then watch out! The view from the water is incredible. Maybe wear a hat, though.
This is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours and cool down out on the water. The Austin skyline was impressive and the river was just the right speed - mostly smooth but some current. Book your tour in advance before your next trip.

Travis was fantastic! This was a guided tour but very flexible meaning if you needed help he was there to help you but if you were experienced you were able to explore around on your own to a certain degree without concern. The setting is ideal and the views of paddling such a serene waterway through such a gorgeous metropolitan area was really fascinating. Travis added to the experience with his knowledge of the surrounding areas and some terrific stories on the history of Austin and some of the structures that we saw. This is all capped off by the incredible experience of seeing thousands of bats flying from underneath Congress bridge at the dusk of evening.

We had a beautiful, afternoon float. It was easy to get our paddle boards and we had a little education before we were pushed out to the water. We didn't have to lift our paddle boards at all because the employees were super helpful and did all the work for us. The process to reserve and rent was really straightforward and simple. Such a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Conner was an exceptionally amazing tour guide today. A group of friends and I completed the guided sunset bat kayak trip. The tour was fun, beautiful and like nothing I have ever experienced. Conner was fun, funny and very informative. I highly recommend taking this adventure!

Connor, Crystal & their doggy did an awesome job leading the group and giving out information. Enjoyed a leisurely paddle to the bridge to observe the bats! The viewing was superior to any other vantage point. The paddle back also had awesome views of the Austin skyline lit up in the darkness.

Started out at another Paddle spot and the line was way too long to stand around in. So on a whim I found this spot on the map and detoured to it.
Very wise choice. (Can someone tell my wife?)
My son and I went on a 2.5 hour adventure on the Colorado thanks to the Austin Paddles Team.
I really wish I remembered the guys name, though he was swamped running the show by himself today he was very courteous, the right amount of funny, and did a great job taking car of all the different people that came his way. At the end of it all, he remembered my name the moment he saw me coming in and asked how the trip was.
Small little operation that looks a little, sketchy, but seriously don’t let that fool you, they had good prices and the boats did great for us.
