My wife and I decided to spend the weekend for our Anniversary in Palestine to ride the Texas State Railroad and were looking for a spa day to complete our weekend. On short notice (2 days), Chantal was able to pull together a couple's massage, pedicure and recommendation for dinner for services on Saturday. Not an easy task to accomplish on short notice, but she worked her magic and delighted us. The experience was absolutely amazing and the service they provided was second to none. My wife and I truly enjoyed our experience and would recommend anyone in the area to give them a call for an amazing experience.

Chantal gave me a great deep tissue massage. I loved it so much that I plan to go back once a month. My best friend gave me a massage as a gift. Chantal has gift certificates for all occasions. I can tell you that you are the best reason to get a massage whether you live in the area or are traveling. The experience besides being so relaxing is also great for your health.

Wonderful people and great massage. My husband purchased my daughter and I full body massages for one hour Christmas 2019...then Covid hit and we were unable to use this purchase. I called this June 2021 and Chantal honored our certificates!!!
Not only did she honor our purchase , she also worked it out where my daughter, a friend and I could all get our massages at the same time!!! I know she had to work this out with multiple schedule changes and she did it. We were very appreciative.
The massages were wonderful and relaxing. Each of our masseuses talked with us individually prior to our massage for any special requests or needs. I would highly recommend The Retreat Massage and Day Spa in Athens, TX.

Covid has been a "Real Experience" & "Complicated Challenge" to deal with for the "Small Businesses". We are so very grateful & so thankful to have our doors still open.
Even now, as I respond to your awesome review, we are still working to get all expired Spa Gift Card Clients into our Spa for their Spa Services. Most of the delays in coming to Spa has been Covid related. Our Staff has worked tirelessly in making time to accommodate each & everyone...Including you Ladies.
It was my personal pleasure to help coordinate your Spa services in such a way that it was a totally enjoyable experience for all.

We were gifted massages for Christmas and set up our appointments. Wife works at the school and found out she was in direct COVID exposure, along with mom. Had to cancel last minute due to this and this company refuses to allow a rebooking and has voided the certificates! Now they are refusing to refund my mother, who is disabled and on a fixed income due to "fine print" about 24 hr cancelations! Profits over people, zero understanding as Henderson county is back in COVID danger zone. This is unacceptable and unprofessional by any standards of conducting business. I will be sure that this review is not the last step that is taken either, as this organization and its owners need to be held accountable in trying times to have a little more compassion and to not treat people this way.

Chantel was amazing. I walked in hurting all over. I have a very physical job and my muscles were tight. She took her time and went above my expectations of what a message would do for me. She worked out all the pain out. Would highly recommend her.

Thanks for making time to share about your beneficial "Massage Experience".
With 31 years of "Massage Experience" literally under my belt, it only takes a few seconds to notice the pain that people are actually living with.
Such was your situation, I'm glad that you took positive steps to help resolve the pain issues you were living with.
In receiving your Massage Treatment, I pray you noticed that it was more of a "Therapeutically Progressive" Relief. Starting "Slow & Easy" & Eventuality working up to "Deeper & Firmer".
Achieving "Working all the pain out" is typically our "Primary Goal". Our "Secondary Goal" is to also make sure it was completely "Enjoyable" & "Stress Relieving".
Thank you so very much for "Highly Recommending" "Our Little Spa" in Athens...Texas!!!

I booked an hour and half massage with Beatrice (817-812-4316). I will say this up front. Best massage I've had in a long time. She was nice, very professional and very thorough. I've only experienced one other person who could compare with Beatrice. If you are feeling stressed or have aches and pains like myself, give Beatrice a call.

Unfortunately, last Friday was her last day @The Retreat as she unexpectedly decided to spread her wings & hands elsewhere.

My husband and I received a couples massage. It was by far one of the best massages I have ever had! Chantal and Jeremiah were so great. Highly recommend if you’re a local or just passing through! Such a relaxing place to be.

I've been a client of Chantal Wylie at her Retreat Massage & Day Spa for over 20 years. I've followed her from the beginning of her career in a small room to her beautiful full-service Retreat Massage & Day Spa. I have a standing monthly appointment and I wouldn't go anywhere else. She cares individually about each of her clients and listens to my emotional and physical needs. She also continues to go to training classes to learn new techniques to assure her clients are receiving the best treatment available. If you want a true retreat with a staff who services your spa needs in a professional, caring manner, in a pleasant environment, that soothes your mind while your therapist sooths your aches and pains, you want to be at the Retreat Massage & Day Spa. Reasonably priced, exceptional service, every time.

I want to share my experience at The Retreat. I received a hour massage today from Rhonda Montgomery. Rhonda is very educated and knows what she is doing. Rhonda is also kind and professional and I highly recommend visiting The Retreat and asking for an appointment with Rhonda Montgomery. You cannot go wrong by doing this.

On our vacation I decided on Tuesday that my husband & I needed a massage. I found The Retreat on internet as one close to the area we were and reviews were good. I called and left a message and soon received a call from Chantal ( the owner). She was able to secure 2 therapist for us the next day. The place was located in a neat older home, easy to find and so worth our 40 min drive from our vacation condo! The therapist were so nice and it was a great massage! Chantal was very accommodating and her staff is awesome!! Highly recommend you check this out when in Athens area!
