My wife and I stopped at Tara on the way home from a day in Athens. The grounds are stunning. The B&B looked really nice, maybe we'll try it sometime. We sampled every wine on the menu. We liked most of them but found 2 we liked enough to buy bottles. We decided to stay for some dinner. I had... More

Went as a family to Tara as a surprise for my Mother In Law who loves wine she had never been here before it's an hour from Downtown Dallas. It was a Sunday I made reservations and called the day before to make sure we were all set. When we arrived at 1130 for a noon lunch there were no... More

We arrived early and stayed late. The food was wonderful, and then service was friendly and prompt. We all had a chicken dish and took half of it home! Little pricy, but for a special occasion it was perfect. We will go back when in the area.

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary, looking forward to the get away. Had a wine tour, not impressed, was more like a tour of a garage and we could not drink the wine on the tour. Ate in the restaurant, food good but over priced. Stayed at the mini mansion. Lovely house, but this is where is gets really... More

We went to the bed and breakfast for our honeymoon. It was late when we arrived, and there was no one there except some other people staying there. The room was lovely. We stayed in the Zinfandel room. Breakfast was okay. It was basically a cold platter of a couple of baked goods, fruit, a simple parfait, and a yucky... More

Adorable Texas Vineyard with an incredible array of reds, blushes and whites. The whites are 5 star and those are from the grapes grown on the property. Bottles are priced from $20- $40! An absolute steal for their quality. The entire property including the Inn (stay overnight- trust me) and restaurant are picture postcard kodak moments! Chef Becklein James of... More

Paid $12.00 a piece for wine tour. Consisted of touring rooms that looked like garages with old dirty equipment, half of the old equipment had nothing to do with wine making. The wines we tasted were not ready to be bottled. I poured all three down the drain. The Murchison house and grounds are beautiful. Just wish we had stayed... More

My husband took me for Valentine's Day, actually, the day before Valentines. Other than it being located in the middle of nowhere, I had marvelous time! There is a bed & breakfast and a few feet back there is a restaurant and winery. If you're not into wineries than this may not be for you. The staff is super friendly!!!... More

My husband and I go to Tara and very special occasions. Saturday night was no exception. We enjoyed the Valentines Dinner with wine pairing and it was amazing. Steak was best I have had in a very long time. Service is always great!

Tara Vineyard is a complicated venue. At once a secluded place to hear some live music and relax and the other, a below average restaurant and only adequate wine. The winery is situated on a hill overlooking the main house and could use some freshening of the décor. I found the food on several occasions to be below average but... More
