Looked like designers took a trip to Houston to tour Minute Maid Park and returned home to their bosses to say, “We can duplicate it and do it better!” I was impressed by the size of Globe Life Field and the fact there is a hotel and entertainment complex right next door. Choctaw Stadium is still across the street and the AT&T Stadium in viewing distance.
One morning My wife and I walked around the perimeter of the stadium finding many sites to see to see and marveling at the stadium. We first encountered a lake with a walking trail, artwork and then statues of famous players of the past. You will find at the main entrance a Hall of Fame walkway then you pass by the team store entrance and return back to Texas Live!.
The inside is remarkably high end compared to other MLB ballparks with a nice grand team store, numerous places to purchase drinks and order food. You also will see another Hall of Fame areas with framed photos and jerseys of past players at the entrance near Texas Live!. Murals are lightly scattered around. There are many seating options including club levels to enjoy for the baseball elite. One night we had to go down an elevator to the field level. This area was much more upgraded from the level above where the food and drink vendors were much better. It also was less crowded with no lines especially for the restrooms. Our seats had great sight lines of the field and the seats seemed a bit larger with good leg room. Since this was my first time here I was scanning the other sections especially the one for the next night.
On our second night we sat in the Wild Rag Deck or as the radio announcers call it “The Taco Seats”. It's located in the outfield where you either share a table or have four in your party. The tables are semicircles and sit in office style chairs. You also have your own server to bring your food and drinks, however for our game the sun hit us hard where the Rangers had the roof open. After a while the sun went down and felt much better and cooler. The vantage point was great where even though hard to see the pitcher the rest of the field was spectacular. If you want roomy and feel like sitting in a club section, then this is for you.
Overall I was impressed and if you have a chance then experience a Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Field and will definitely enjoy it.

Good amount of organized traffic control for parking. Stadium was easy and I really appreciated the roof since it rained during our game. Favorite food was the broomstick hot dog and the BBQ brisket on mac n cheese. Seat were horribly expensive from Stub Hub and I won't be able to attend more than 2 games as a result of it. I can't be connected to the game if we're in the upper decks.

The tour was excellent and the game experience was excellent also. Club experience food was a treat. Glad to have public transportation. My only negative is the Major League Baseball app which caused me to buy multiple tickets because it doesn't allow you see what you have in the queue

We did the ballpark pregame tour. It was a waste of money. It cost us $63 each. Our guide was amazing and really knowledgeable about the stadium and passionate about the Rangers. The tour route was a huge disappointment. They walked us through the 300 level upper deck concourse for 20 minutes telling us about the colors of paint on the walls and the bricks. There was a lot of detail about how the roof opens and how they never open it. Then we walked through the 100 level concourse to see where they sell concessions. The tour ended after about 45 minutes even though it was a 90 minute tour. They did not give us access to anything beyond where our normal ticket allows us to go during a game. There was no tour of the locker rooms, training rooms, press box, luxury suites, club suites, field access, or even a loading dock. My father and I have done these tours at many pro stadiums around the country and this was by far the biggest let down and most expensive. I called the tour manager today and expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for refund. I was told there is a strict no refund policy. She agreed the tour has nothing special, the website description is incorrect, and blamed it on MLB. We did the Cowboys AT&T Stadium tour the next day. It was cheaper and takes you through everything even the cheerleaders locker room and the field.

Looks like a warehouse from the outside. Inside is generic looking. The roof was closed when we were there. It's not pretty but for sure made watching the game comfortable temperature wise. My wife and I were the first ones in and immediately went too a restaurant there that had picnic tables inside next to it. There was food crumbs on the tables and fries and dirty napkins on the floor. At least clean the place up! Come on, it's new! Seating is good. This place doesn't have the character that the old stadium had. AT&T stadium blows it away for sure!

Our tour guide was dull, he would have side conversations with certain people/families only. He called one of the players African American players "Gorilla." I am not saying his intentions were to be racist, but it was simply inappropriate. We were the only Latinx there, and the two that he avoided most often. Again, I am not saying his intentions were to be cruel/unsensitive, but he just was. I was very angry & frustrated the majority of the tour, but was not "allowed" to exit until the tour was over.
The only plus was that we got team face masks and we got to meet chuck Morgan. He was very nice!

We are trying to get our son to as many MLB parks as we can and this one did not disappoint. We started looking in the Spring for parks that we thought would be open and we would be able to get tickets, as some we thought might only allow season ticket holders. They allowed people to go down for batting practice, but no autographs by the dug outs. Nice variety of food, the unique food I saw at this ballpark with the broomstick, which was a 24 inch hotdog. It comes with a special carrier with a handle. I believe the one with the works came with chili, cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos. I just got a regular hotdog with all of the above except the onions - it was pretty good. Hubby and son went for a plain hot dog and said he was just ok. The helmet ice cream cups are scooped ice cream, not soft serve, that was a bummer, you can't beat the chocolate/vanilla swirl. Very nice team store at the stadium as well. Would definitely go back to this stadium. We were staying at Live! by Loews and it was great to just walk out of the stadium to the hotel.

One last visit to the great Texas ballpark in Arlington.
It is a really enjoyable venue, great nightlines, easy to move around.
A pity that they decided to build a new park even though it is only about 30 years old.
Of course we are now looking forward to a great new stadium in Globe Life Field with its sliding roof and more modern facilities.

If you leave your phone in the stadium, don’t think you will get it back! My phone was left, I went immediately back, it was already gone , and the lost and found rep said I would have to check back the next AM. My husband and son tracked my phone , and several hours after the game ended they noticed it had left the stadium. They found it at the subway down the street tossed in the grass! Don’t trust lost and found at Globe life!

Very interesting stadium tour. They showed/explained the mechanics of opening the roof. They took us to many different clubs throughout the stadium. We especially liked the speakeasy club and how it related to local history. Highly entertaining and recommended.

I see there are limits to the size of bag you can bring into Global Life Ballpark but does that include diaper bags?

Mid Sized Diaper Bag would be fine. It will be searched but it can be taken in.
What is the best parking option for the Paul McCartney Concert on Friday night?

There is a parking lot right across from the stadium. You should be able to park over there

Hello! My daughter and I are visiting Globe Life Ballpark for the St Louis Cardinals games this weekend. We are wondering if there is a “sports bar” inside that might have TV coverage of hockey? Crazy sports fans like us need to keep up with our Blues too!

Hi! I read online that there is 6ft of netting on top of the dugouts to protect fans sitting in those rows behind the dugouts. But when I called the ticket office, they said there is no netting in that area. Can you please clarify? Thanks!

I paid $28 to seat to seat in section 330. I am glad i did, because if i would be seating on the opposite side i would be blinded by the sun. You can buy tickets with buffet included - when i checked it was pretty much deep fried food only. Have Fun in the Great State of Texas!
