Mediocre park at best.
Jun 2021
This park is pretty mediocre at best, most of the rides and attractions were great but a lot of them were closed early in the day and the park was not the cleanest nor well kept. Also, a lot of the employees weren't that happy about their jobs when I went this month. Overall, I don't recommend this park despite the rides being really good.

VIP Guided tour 2021.
Jun 2021 • Family
I took my son and 2 friends on the VIP guided tour for his 13th birthday. To be honest, I had no idea it even existed prior to planning this (we are Diamond elite with flash passes, but I wanted to something even better, so I went looking).

Booking it was a bit difficult, since you have to buy it *at the park* to get the member discount. I was at here a few days before with another child who isn’t into big thrill rides)

Our tour guide, Piper, was awesome, always ready to help, anticipating needs, and making everything as easy as possible. It was a perfect day for shortcuts, because it was in the 90s, with 99.5% humidity. Waiting in line would have been terribly hot.

The VIP guided tour includes parking, food (not *just *lunch/snack/dinner; the website says that, but after those, the guide just writes “cheques” to “pay” for things), a single day season drink bottle, icees, a $50 games pass (each), and either dive bomber alley or the go karts.

It also includes a justice league or loony tunes autograph session, but we didn’t do that wine the boys weren’t interested.

You get front of the line access by going up the exit ramps, and you get to pick your seat before people in the regular and flash pass lines get to get on. I will say, I’m glad I got the guided tour, as about half the food vendors and ride operators had no idea what it was (our guide did a very professional job of educating them).

I managed to lose my footing on the Shockwave steps, and she was quick to call First Aid and get me an ECV so I could keep up with the boys after that. (I rolled my ankle spectacularly and am waiting to see if it’s broken or just badly strained. That was all me, not a Shockwave issue. I’ve ridden it about 500 times and never had a stairs problem beforehand. Getting old isn’t very fun)

We were there from open to close, and the kids were over the moon happy.

It’s about 250 a person with the Diamond elite discount, and more if you aren’t a member, so this isn’t something I plan to do again at our home park, but I 1000% recommend it for a one time super special event or a one day visit to a park in another state.

All told, they went on about 20 rides (I skipped the last 4; I’m old!), won a ton of prizes from games, ate ALL the snacks and drinks, and were utterly exhausted by the end of the day!

If you're an amputee this park isnt for you. I have an above the knee amputation on one of my legs and I wasnt allowed to ride several rides because of this.

The workers were rude and made my visit unpleasant

Just meh

Pretty dumpy park that was filthy and majority of stuff was closed. The lines to get food were outrageous because so many were closed.

Decent park

Not sure what everyone is complaning about. This was a pretty good experience. Maybe it was just bad over spring break...?

The only real con I can think of was the long-ish lines. Not the worst I've ever been in, but some of them were pretty bad. I think that was partly a side-effect of the COVID policies though, with the required ride-cleaning cycles causing delays.

Overall this park is pretty nice. This was the first time I'd been there, and I was generally pleased. The layout is a little confusing when you're trying to find certain rides, but it's really not a big deal.

New Texas Giant and Titan are definitely worth a ride or two. I was also pleasantly surprised with how entertaining Runaway Mine Train was after assuming it would be super lame. The only flat ride I went on was Superman, which I really enjoyed as well. Judge Roy Scream was alright too, but extremely rough.

Another thing to note, the oil derrick was closed all day due to winds, but it opened up sometime in the evening. It's not thrilling, but it's a pretty sweet place to get an overview of the park, especially at night. You can easily see Dallas and Fort Worth from up there too.

I'd recommend SF Over Texas for a fun way to spend a day in DFW, but if you're traveling to Texas and trying to decide on an amusement park, I'd go with Fiesta Texas near San Antonio instead.

Would give zero stars if possible

We made a reservation to go to the park and we arrived an hour before our reservation time and waited in a car line at the traffic light for an hour. They say they follow CDC guidelines but the lines are cramped and no one is spaced out. Why would you make customers make reservations but give unlimited amount of reservations out? We couldn't even get into the park parking light, there were so many people. We tried to get our money back and no one would answer the phones. Absolutely unacceptable and infuriating.

Spring break 2021
Mar 2021
Park extremely packed. Was not this packed last year during spring break. Lines to get food and drinks, very long and service was extremely slow!

I don’t know why they have a reservation system for covid because it obviously is not working

Adrenaline park!
Mar 2021 • Family
This amusement park has lots of high adrenaline rides, that’s why we took our teens! However, the youngest will only do moderate rides & did try two tame coasters. She & I had to do more waiting around for the others because there just weren’t as many moderate rides but we did find just enough. Lines were long for Spring Break, especially for food & drinks. We bought two refillable cups but you either wait forever to refill them or use the park app to order a refill & food-that’s the best way to avoid a long line. The app is also good to give est. wait times for rides, when you can get cell service. Many times we could not get service to work, to bring up the map or times. They need to somehow boost cell service. They also need to have signage in the parking lot & workers directing traffic better. We looked a long time to get parking, then could find our way out because there were No exit signs until you got to the exit. Please put up some signs to direct people!
