Definitely a great place to take the littles when you’re visiting Amarillo. It is a small zoo, but packed with native and exotic animals. The admission price is very cheap. Kids can get up close (but not too close) to lions, tigers, and bears (oh...More

It's a small zoo but the price was great, We saw most of the animals despite it being cold and windy. A nice quick thing to do in Amarillo.

While the Amarillo Zoo is smaller than many zoo's you may have visited in the larger cities, it is none-the-less a nice place for kids and parent to visit. I have been there 2-3 times with my granddaughters and they enjoy it every time.

It has been a few years since we've been to the Amarillo Zoo. The animals are well cared for, and the areas added for educating youngsters of all ages is impressive.
