The hotel booked a table for us and the Big Texan sent a white limo with cow horns on the front! I was sold right there and then. I wasn't expecting much from the steak but it melted in your mouth. I would make a b line for the big texan every time i'm in town. A great west experience.... More

Big Texan feeds a lot of people and moves a lot of food. Good prices and the beef was excellent. Relax and enjoy!

We have visited many times over the past 40 years and it is always a treat to watch folks (mainly guys) attempt to eat a 72oz hunk of beef, salad, potato and dinner roll in 60 minutes or less. Few achieve that feat. The staff is wonderful, the food is excellent and they even have special menu and western hats... More

Yes saw the signs on I40 and decided to stop for Breakfast and see the 72oz steak. My wife and I had the ribeye and eggs and kids had the buffet. The place is what you would expect "old Texas appeal" we enjoyed the atmosphere. The buffet has all the essentials, the bacon is excellent (the fat crispy bacon) biscuits... More

The pulled pork is good. I once had the 8 oz. steak and regretted it. Perhaps they do not serve the little steak often enough in order to have a fresh one!

I'd heard a lot about the Big Texan and it's steaks and I was eager to try some. Me and a friend arrived with high expectations and I was very unimpressed with the result. It wasn't the high expectations that led to the disappointment, it was the fact that 'medium' cooked meat was the chewiest I think I've ever eaten,... More

We had a great evening here - picked up from hotel by limo with bull horns on the front, good entertainment. Four young guys tried the 72 ounce steak challenge and one managed it! Go and experience it

Hotel is fun, very western, but it is not a luxury hotel, love the swing doors, and being able to walk to the restaurant. Pool is Texas shape fun and overall a unique experience, and worth the time and effort to stay.

The is a popular tourist restaurant to see who can eat the 72 ounce steak. The steaks are average, but a good stop to see the who is eating the big steak.
