The Paramount is an historic 1930 theatre and was perfectly restored several years ago. They show classic movies here all year long and if you go on a Friday evening, you can also hear the renowned Robert Holladay give a fascinating 30-minute lecture about the movie being shown. There is a concession stand. It's a great place to see your... More

The Paramount is a fully restored, unbelievably gorgeous old theatre. No matter what you see there, it's going to be better just because of the setting.

I took my children to this theater a few times during the CALF Festival and it was just amazing. It's a beautiful theater- you don't see places like this anymore! Concessions were reasonably priced...only downside would be chairs can be a little uncomfortable and harder for kiddos to see compared to some newer theaters. Still, I'd recommend it and I... More

This is a beautiful historic theater. Its wonderful to visit and watch movies in. My fiance and I had one of our first dates here when they played Indiana Jones one night!

I've been to this place numerous times for live events as well as for the wonderful movies they show on the screen! I love this place!! It has the most beautiful interior, and the ceiling actually appears as if it's "moving" with a night sky effect! It has great seating for anything on the venue and downstairs there's a quaint... The Paramount is a restored theater with all the grandeur of the early 1900s! Throughout the year they host a variety of entertainment options from plays to classic movies to seasonal favorites to a short movie festival ( not suitable for young kids). A favorite feature, especially with the kids, are the stars twinkling on the ceiling with the clouds... More

Abilene has some serious talent. The musical, Into the Woods, proves once again just how much local talent we have here in Abilene. The performance was outstanding and one I will remember as a true feel good.

Restored really well! Ballets, movies, musicals. . . You can see it all. Just don't expect a ton of leg room in the balcony. It was made when people were shorter. So glad Abilene had such a fun place to see the arts!

They have great movies once a month and fantastic plays. A year movie pass is worth the purchase. Even my teen thinks this place is cool. My favorites are the Halloween and Christmas movies & plays that they do.

Dallas, San Antonio and other metropolitan areas may boast of great Art-Deco theater, but The Paramount is Abilene's crown jewel and bows to none. If you are able to take a tour, or better yet be lucky enough to experience one of the events scheduled for this beautiful piece of architecture!
