There is a lot of history displayed in a way that is interactive and keeps the kids attention. Highly recommend if you are into history or just want to know more about the plains.

Nice displays depicting early Native American life, pioneer life, the early railroad and great life like animal displays. Also has nice gift shop area.

What a wonderful journey through the history of Aberdeen and the surrounding area. The museum is very well maintained and is a must see when you are visiting Aberdeen.

We happened to stumble upon Dacotah Prairie Museum while driving around downtown Aberdeen. We absolutely loved this museum, the kids (8,5,3) enjoyed the interactive activities and grandma and I enjoyed the history! and the museum was free!

I take my grandchildren there on there days off from school. they really enjoy all there hand on things for kids to do and change things every 3 months

This is a treasure that does such a great job of offering not only history but also activities for kids. The traveling displays that come through have been amazing. We're partial to Christmas time there so we can look at all of the cool trees...More
