I visited the Palmetto Distillery while visiting friends in Easley. I had seen their billboard ads often on past trips, and had enjoyed some of their products while in SC. This time around, I decided to visit the facility, and I was glad I did. It was a great experience, from the people, the distillery itself, and the HUGE selection of products and souvenirs available. Regrettably, I didn't have time to do the tour or tastings, but will definitely return to do so. I did manage to buy a decent selection to tide me over til next year, along with some neat souvenirs. I highly recommend Palmetto as a definite vacation stop!

Palmetto Distillery is located in downtown Anderson. Easy to park. We used a Groupon with another couple. The tour was not really a tour but a little bit of history and a tasting. The sampling’s were all very good but quite expensive. The Groupon included a salt and pepper shaker and a bottle of mixer. With the Groupon is was worth the money ! We will return!

The facility is neat inside, but it’s not all that special. There’s a million distilleries in the south, and this one isn’t more special than any others. The drinks were okay (not the greatest I’ve had but not the worst) and the staff had pretty bad attitudes. I get that we all have hard days but let’s not bring it to work.

The Palmetto Whiskey is some of the finest whiskey I have purchased and consumed. Usually I drink Crown Royal, but now I am sold on Palmetto Whiskey. Very smooth.

We enjoyed the experience of touring the process of making the moonshine and really enjoyed the samples. There is one thing we did not agree with. If you buy the moonshine a retail store it is not the same price if you buy it there. The cost was actually a lot higher. I was very disappointed in that matter.

What a fun place to visit and learn about the history of moonshine and have a couple of samples of their products. Seeing the stills and learning about the process was very interesting. We had the pleasure of having Dave S who was a great historian along with being just a fun guy! It was so much fun looking around the shop. Thanks Palmetto Distillery!

We've been to PM twice. The first time we missed the tasting but bought plain moonshine (smooth but you have to learn to love it) and Bloody Mary mix for us and to give for Christmas. We were back the week before Christmas and decided to make it a Bloody Mary night. We still hadn't opened what we had bought earlier and taken home. OMG! The bloody mary mix is HORRIBLE!!!!!! It tastes like really bad barbeque sauce! SWEET, SWEET, SWEET and nauseating. None of us could even come close to finishing our drinks. When we finally looked at the ingredients, the first 2 are water and KETCHUP! Are you kidding me!!!! We added garlic and salt and hot sauce and pepper and so forth but nothing made this crap palatable. Since we are stuck with 3 more bottles we are going to try to cook it down to make it usable for BBQ sauce but I'm not holding onto much hope. DO NOT BUY!

My parents live in Myrtle Beach & happen to tell us about Palmetto Moonshine because we are big fans of Ol' Smoky Mountain Moonshine being from TN. Very comparable in taste & love the cinnamon the apple pie had...great addition to the shine. I bought the Cherry Apple juice to try with the regular white lightening. Good job on the tour! ~ Dee from TN

I wanted to take my brother and his fiancé someplace they've never been. So, I took them to Palmetto Moonshine. BEST DECISION EVER! Pam (distillery manager) was very informative and she was a wonderful host. We all learned a lot from her! Then we were invited to sample a wide array of flavors and with each flavor there was a story andto LOTS of southern hospitality! They had excellent merchandise which was mostly hand made by local artists. Palmetto Moonshine has won many competitions and prestigious awards with their spirits. The building has a warm feeling and so full of rich history and character, I truly didn't want to leave. I would STRONGLY recommend to anyone who likes to do something outside the norm, to make a little detour and visit Pam, David and the others there at the distillery! The tour is free and the taste testing is as well but, don't come without a little money because you will likely walk outta there with a taste of perfection and a warm story to tell. We could not have been more impressed! Hats off to you, Palmetto Moonshine, for everything! Thank you for such an excellent time!
