This museum was very interesting. The basement was filled with nostalgic items which my husband an I enjoyed very much. Old fashioned soda fountain and drug store.

Seems more spacious than appears from the front. Many varied rooms and displays and local lore. HINT: If you will be doing a local tour, tour first; then, Museum second to get a more in-depth perspective on local events and stories.

Touring the museum was recommended by the excellent front desk staff at the Willcox Inn. We were very impressed with the three floor collections.

We were pleasantly surprised with the museum. When you first enter the museum you don't get the true scope of what is on display. This is a well laid out museum with very informative exhibits. We could have spent hours there taking in all of...More

I could not believe that Aiken County has such a fabulous museum! We did not have enough time, but we will get back to Aiken as soon as possible just to visit this museum. It is truly awesome.

Eddie is there on Saturdays and he loves Civil War era History. He even plays Gov. Wade Hampton. They have talks by authors and book signings too.
