We have gone to Hopeland Gardens a couple of times for their holiday light display. It's a nice places to take friends and family. The weather is usually mild and we loved walking through the gardens.

The gardens are primarily grassy areas, trees, large ponds and plantings such as azaleas. There are beautiful, picturesque oak trees which are lovely to photograph. This was an old estate that was left to the City of Aiken with the condition the house be removed...More

Peaceful place to take a walk. We took a stroller for our 1 year old and she had a great nap. Wooded walkways that are out of the sun.

If you want a relaxing, casual walk, visit Hopelands and Rye Patch. It's surprising such a relaxing walk can be so close.

Nice outdoor walk. Sat and did a little bird watching. I like that they mark the foliage. Oh yeah, your fur babies are allowed as long as they are on a leash.

A great place for a stroll, and to enjoy nature. It is only a few minutes drive from downtown Aiken. At Christmas, it is a wonderland, with the Christmas lights and the music. Adults, and kids, will love it. Get the directions on where to...More

Just tranquil beautiful grounds to walk or just sit and enjoy. Visit the race horse museum, watch the waterlife in the many ponds or just identify the magnificent trees or well tended flower beds. Aikens favourite horse statues may also surprise you as you wander...More

There is a sign at the entrance that says you must pay to take professional pictures. There is info there about how to schedule photo shoots.
