Hopeland. Gardens is a fun place to visit anytime of the year. Walk in on a long path with the beautiful trees surrounding you. Paths are easy to follow, rest in a gazebo, take bread to feed the ducks. Take pictures of the large trees.

Great place to spend the day. Lots of room for the kids to play and relax. A lot of history and many plants and trees to see.

Since moving to Aiken 11 years ago I have found Hopelands Gardens to be a MUST SEE . It is an incredible plot of land dedicated to the historical Aiken area. incredible trees and properties preserved for Aiken. Racehorse Hall of Fame on the Property. If you are visiting Aiken, you must see Hopelands Gardens!

Decided to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Aiken's Hopelands Gardens. We started at the Thoroughbred Racing Museum which was in the re-purposed Carriage house of the Estate turned Gardens. Next were some peaceful fountains built on the location of the former Mansion which overlooked the beautiful garden-filled grounds. Hopelands includes a variety of gardens ranging from a formal Rose... More

Recently strolled in Hopelands Gardens. What a peaceful, serene location, located within beautiful Aiken. Graceful live oaks, seasonal flowers, restored out buildings, and a recently restored gazebo near the ponds! Absolutely beautiful! Summer concerts, the Aiken Thoroughbred Hall of Fame, done miss Hopelands Gardens while in Aiken!!

We stopped in here to walk around and it was a very pleasant visit. The gardens, while not opulent, are well laid out and a good place for a stroll or just to sit for awhile. Parking was easy when we were there on a Sunday morning.

Wonderful opportunity to wander through the gardens. Not too much blooming in October, but it was still pleasant. Its also an easy walk for those of us who can be unsteady on our feet. Make sure to visit the horse racing museum on the grounds.

Although I've been to Hopeland Gardens many times, it seems there's always something new! Besides the Summer Concerts, there's the Thoroughbred Museum; Carriage Museum; beautiful gardens; a 'maze' that's great for kids and adults, alike; history; children's programs; etc!

We visited on a weekday in mid September and the park was quiet with only a few other people visiting. The pond is beautiful.
