Very reasonably priced. Intimate theatre with all good seats. Very good acoustics, understood all dialogue very clearly. Municipal parking lot in back was full, but found a free spot on the street next to the church. We saw Gaslight, very well acted. We had dinner first at Dettera across the street, also recommended. Nice date night in Ambler.

My husband and I have been members at Act II for 4 years now along with two other couples. We have NEVER experienced a bad show. In fact, most of the shows have been FANTASTIC!! We have invited many other friends and family members to enjoy shows with us from time to time and they would tell you the same thing. The theater is quaint and there is not a bad seat in the house. The quality of entertainment far exceeds the very reasonable ticket price. You can't go wrong attending the great performances at Act II!!!

We have never seen a poor performance at Act II. It is truly high quality community theater. Small but comfortable, we have seen everything from musicals (Man of LA Mancha) to two and three character shows. Most recently we saw Driving Miss Daisy, and it was delightful. Reasonable prices too, for subscripions or individual shows. Ambler is an interesting town as well with a variety of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance from the theater.

I have only been to the playhouse for 2 shows and both were original productions by Tony Braithwaite (Didn't Your Father Have This Talk With You) and Tony Braithwaite / Jennifer Childs (On the Road Again) and they were both great. They were both extremely funny and entertaining. They both included audience participation, which was orchestrated perfectly. Can't wait to see more original works by Tony and company.

Love most of their offerings & if Tony Braithwaite is in it, you can be sure that the show will be wonderful. How they manage with just 8 or 9 cast members to put on quality Broadway musicals like "My Fair Lady" & "Man of La Mancha" is nothing short of amazing even down to great looking costumes.

'On the Road Again' is a 70-minute show with Tony Braithwaite, Jennifer Childs and a fabulous music director. It fast-paced, laced with wonderful jokes, observations and experiences about vacations - we've all been there! There are familiar songs and new ones. Tony and Jennifer slip into many characters and work well together. You can tell that they are having fun, too! If you miss this run, it is returning in the summer.

This live venue produces excellent, quality musicals and plays with professional talent that consistently entertains suburban dwellers as well as those who travel from the city. It's a very intimate setting where every seat is a good one because you are very near the stage. There is plenty of convenient parking at very nearby lots. If you love live, professional Broadway quality stage plays & musicals at very reasonable prices, Act II Playhouse is definitely the venue to enjoy it.

Small community theater that produces original plays. Although the facility is tiny and bare bones, the work can be amazing. Subscription memberships are available and reasonably priced. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance so you can do dinner and show. Parking is free.

How amazing to be able to walk to a great local theater -- we have really enjoyed their comedy nights here, too. So glad to live in this little town with the most amazing little gems like Act II Playhouse.

Act II is a sparkling gem in Ambler. We have enjoyed many great productions as season ticket holders. What great value for great entertainment! Artistic Director/ Actor Tony Braithwaite is a genius. All of the productions from drama to comedy to one-person shows have been amazing in a small, intimate setting. It is great to support our local theater arts.

I'm trying to reach the box office to see if I can get tickets at the will call window. No one is answering. They should be open. When Can I speak to someone about stopping by to buy tickets?
