Kids like action. Seeing fish, big ones, up close, different colors and all swarming. Get some food and watch the kids eyes open wide. It is good for kids to learn about our environment, food and nature. There are helpful posters and signs that parents or older children can read and get educated about the hatchery and they type of... More

We love this place it's a great trip with the children. Our kids range from very young to 18+ and they all enjoy it. Bags of trout food are available for a low cost. There are porta potties but they are kept clean. The grounds are lovely for a blanket picnic.

If your looking for an inexpensive way to thrill your kids fee the fish at the fish hatchery. The kids love seeing the fish swarm to eat the pellets you buy. Took our kids and now grand-babies. The pellets are cheap you can get a two big bags for $5.00. I took two of my granddaughters last Friday and they... More

Purchase a small bag of fish food at the white house and enjoy seeing the trout gobble it up! We didn't wander the trails, as it was a hot day, but the ponds kept my grandson entertained for a time.

This is a nice place to take grandchildren to see how the fish are separated and used to stock the nearby stream. It is also a relaxing area for a walk.

Great fun for a short visit. See numerous fish pens of different sizes .Fish food available to purchase. Next to a pretty stream where we observed some fly fisherman. Also some hiking trails on property.

How can you not get a kick out of all the fish? Simple fun - no loud music, no multimedia experience, no interactive touchscreen kiosks. Just you, the fish, reasonably priced fish food if you want and maybe a heron or two. Always fun in the dead of winter or the head of summer. Unlike some other long time Allentown... More

My family has been visiting the fish hatchery for over 50 years. Its a great place to visit and feed the fish, walk around the grounds and there are many trees, making this a park like environment

Located right off I 78 and Cedar Crest Blvd. Nice relaxing place to take children. There is also a hiking path along the creek. Nice place to spend a hour or so.

Learn about how trout grow and how they get into our streams in PA. Great for a break with the grand kids. Buy some of the fish food provided for cheap entertainment too. Good parking, level ground, concrete walkways, relaxing walk. Just minutes off of I-78 and Cedar Crest on Fish Hatchery Road.
