We took the Essential Ashland walking tour. You can rent the handsets and maps for a small price at the Ashland Springs Hotel. The tour we took includes the founding, growth and development of the city of Ashland with the Lithia Park the main attraction. The walk is very easy and takes about an hour but you can take your time, enjoy the Park and shops along the way. It is at your own pace. The information is excellent and provides a good understanding of how the town of Ashland became the beautiful city it is today. I wish we had more time to take the other tour available as this was truly enjoyable.

There are two walks, and by doing both of them we felt like we gained a good understanding of the history of Ashland. These are audio tours that you can take at your own pace. The tours are easy to follow, easy to understand and well presented. We picked the audio appliances up in the lobby of the large, vintage hotel in the middle of town
