Visited Akron zoo 12/26 for the wild lights displace. It was outstanding! The whole zoo was lite up w fun displays of animals and festive scenes. Plenty of areas for family photo ops, easy to maneuver w parking onsite and an easy walk to entrance. Definitely worth a trip over to c the display.

Although not the largest zoo around, it certainly is the cleanest and best laid out. I like everything about this zoo. If you're bringing kids, you'll find plenty of kid activities and appropriate displays to ensure they don't get bored. Highly recommended.

Nice little zoo. My mom and I visited at the end of the day and we were able to see everything in less than 1.5hr. Lots of new areas like Asia and Africa and seems like there are more expansions and updates in the works. Not very many animals considering how much space the zoo takes up.

The zoo was small but clean, with friendly people and a wonder atmosphere. We loved it. Parking was easy and the zoo was easy to navigate. So many great exhibits. Recommend if your in akron

Big zoo for a little city. It makes you feel like your not in Akron anymore. Mom got a wheel chair and the whole experience lasted about 2 hours.

Lots of different types of animals and many ways to view them, that's what I want in a zoo. The zoo isn't too big and is good for smaller kids (but anyone will love it). The boma and carousel are really fun and the gardens are especially beautiful. A good place to spent 2-4 hours or so and see some animals.

I have been doing this event for 7 years. I am a reg/celebrity . (Well I think I am ) lol I got to know the Brew peeps and the volunteers. I think this event rocksssssssssss. Why you get to drink and watch animals go crazy at night. ( Guest tooo) lol I just enjoy finding new brewiers pop up here and there and to get to talk to them and experiance craft beer and what they have been working on for a long time makes me feel oh soooo good. Its a safe fun atmosphere and not super crowded. Its my go to event for the years I have been doing it. You will have a great time.

Love the Akron Zoo because it’s small enough to see the whole thing in a reasonable amount of time, but large enough to have some really cool exhibits. The Akron Zoo is definitely worth the trip, though I’d avoid field trip hours—if you’re going in the late spring especially, go after 3pm.

We visited a few days ago with Covid restrictions still in place, and had a wonderful visit! I loved that they did not require masks for children under 10 years old — such a contrast to other attractions.

The zoo itself was excellent, and the quantity and quality of animals to see was much better than I expected. They had a perfect mix of activities for young children, and up-close animal encounters — we loved the carousel, train (that gives you a closer view of the lion exhibit), and goat petting area, but our favorite part was the otter slide. They literally have a clear slide that runs right through the otter exhibit, where the otters swim around the slide just beyond the glass — our 3 year old was mesmerized by it!

As a big fan of zoos, I’ve been to many, and was also pleasantly surprised to see so many zoo keepers out and about to share more about each animals exhibit — this really enhanced my experience to learn more about each animal.

We spent about 2.5 hours here and found all the prices to be reasonable, even the stroller rental was only $6 — highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon here!

It's not the Cleveland Zoo (Which we love). Be I do spend time every year in Akron for the Akron German Family Society's Oktoberfest. I have 3 children 2,4,& 6. So if you have children... or just love animals, it is certainly worth spending the afternoon to visit all your favorite creatures! ;)
