Have been to many different shows/displays here over the years and it is a wonder/beautiful venue. Acoustics are great. Believe now part of Akron University but still has programs open to the public.

If you happen to be in the Akron area during late November and early December, you MUST visit the Knight Center’s Akron Children’s Hospital Christmas Tree Festival. There are many, many beautiful trees and the proceeds from their sales go to the Children’s Hospital. There is no admission charge...it’s free to look!!

They have it every year around Thanksgiving Day. Hundreds of trees and other set-ups, all custom designed are for sale. The prices seem to be little high, but all the proceeds go to Akron Children Hospital. It is free to enter and free to look. kids can tyalk to Santa, too. A must see exhibit. We go there every single year.

My daughter had a cheer competition here last weekend. She has been cheering for many years. This was the first competition that we had a security guard at the door checking bags for "outside food and drinks". This was our last competition of the season and we had made goody bags for each of the teams. They would not allow us to take them in! My husband had a cinch sack that was searched and he was made to throw away the bottle of water we had brought for our daughter after she competed. On a positive note, the parking was free! Not my favorite venue

Every year we go to the Akron Tree Festival which is hosted by the JSKCC every year before Christmas. They have a wonderful meal, desserts that are otherworldly (good) and a couple of hundred trees you can buy for crazy prices ... but which benefit the Childrens Hospital. A wonderful evening in a nice setting. My only complaint is the parking. Although covered, the walk from the parking deck to the main convention center floor is quite a hike - especially for women in heels.

You will enjoy any event that this place
has to offer. Great parking & plenty of room
to enjoy activities. The Christmas 🎄 tree
festival is AWESOME and this facility is
a great venue for it. Go and enjoy.

Went to the Odd Mall here. Convenient parking and facilities were appropriate for the event. Area still needs more revitalization but overall pretty good.

An absolute MUST VISIT Thanksgiving Week. A wonderful family night out - there is no charge to enter, ride the escalator to the second floor, and enjoy the festival of hundreds of beautiful, themed Christmas trees decorated by civic organizations, clubs, sports teams (including the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James, who is from Akron), and small shops. The week-long event is staffed by volunteers of the Akron Children's Hospital. Trees are available for purchase, and proceeds support patient care programs, education and research. Some of the very clever themes include Disney, children's Golden Books, National Park Service, Cleveland Cavaliers, Penguin Party. A fun afternoon or evening for the entire family!
TIP: arrive early - very crowded in the evening! Small parking lot behind convention center, but lots of Akron parking & garage nearby.

It's a nice decent convention center. Right downtown, it was well laid out and the areas were signed well and it was kept very clean and nice.
