I had the best experience renting a bike at the last minute. The store was closed when I called so I left a message. I received a return call quickly and was able to rent a bike. They were willing to bring a bike to me and pick it up after my ride. And the price was very reasonable. The bike was in excellent condition too. I would definitely recommend Beach Wheels Bike Rentals.

Brian at Beach Wheels Bike Rentals was very kind and helpful. I looked at several shops in Emerald Isle and Beach Wheels Bike Rentals was the cheapest at $15/bike/day (24hr rental). Each bike included a chain and lock and an optional basket. Hint, get a basket. It's very helpful for hauling drinks and snacks.
We also rented a tag-a-long bike that hooked under the seat of my bike for our 9 year old. She loved helping pedal occasionally and enjoyed resting if she got too tired, all without having to miss anything.
The best part was that they delivered the bikes right to the racks at our condo. Since we are on a cash-only budget, Brian brought the bikes and said I could just pay when he picked them up.
Because it was so hot, he brought the bikes in the evening so we could start our bike ride that evening and a little the next day.
We will definitely rent from Beach Wheels Bike Rentals again.
Note, if you want bikes delivered, it's best to give 2-3 days notice if you need a specific delivery time.
Also, Emerald Isle has a helmet law. Anyone under 16 years old is required to wear one. We took a helmet for my daughter, but they do rent them for $1.

Great bike rental service and good value compared to others. We rented 5 bikes for the week which cost us $180. The best thing is that they deliver and then pick up from your rental meaning no hassles at either end of your vacation.

I wanted a beach bike for my week at the beach. Unfortunately my cell phone coverage was poor at our condo, and that was a first problem -- they don't use email except to refer to phone. I finally ordered a bike, and it was great -- a nice beach bike. Clean and in order.
But I had ordered a helmet. No helmet. Follow up calls (they are never in their building) finally got me a helmet. But it was cracked and no one should trust a helmet that has been in an accident.
So, great bike. Great price. But difficult to deal with and watch out for helmets (bring your own!)

Arrived at Beach Wheels on Monday September 9th around noon to find business closed. Called the number on the door and received call back within 5 minutes. Transaction took place over the phone and when we returned to our beach house there were the two bikes we needed with baskets locked on the patio. (They emailed us the lock codes). Had bikes in less than two hours. Delivery and pickup was perfect

Andrew brought us multiple bikes and helmets for our kids to try out! He was extremely friendly! We will definitely rent here next time we visit Emerald Isle!

Everyone was very helpful and fast...helped with helmets, bike frame sizing, and locks. We paid next door at the consignment store, and then went on our way! It was a 24 hour rental, and they picked up our bikes the next day for FREE! (We didn't have time to ride them back.)

We wanted to rent bikes 2 weeks after the hurricane and we ended up using Beach Wheels Bike Rentals - the other bike rental didn't rent yet because of float water everywhere. Bryan from Beach Wheels Bike Rentals was so easy to work with!!! He brought the 5 bikes within the hour. Very accommodating and easy communication!!! Will rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Traveling from nj with a large family group, just not possibly to pack enough beach chairs and supplies along with clothing and supplies. We found this place Beach Wheels on line and were not disappointed. Ordered by phone prior to trip, gave address and arrival date. Our chairs were waiting for us, secured with a combo lock. Bryan from beach wheels, texted the combo to open, that easy... when we left, secured chairs with lock.
Comfortable chairs with cup holders and waterproof zippered pouch to secure your phone and stufff ( I loved that) . Prices were less then compared to others, I would definitely recommend. Thanks BEACH WHEELS

Bryan delivered our bikes, baskets, and combo lock along with a text as to its code. The prices are fantastic!
