About
Four Saints Brewing Company began operations in May 2015 in Downtown Asheboro, NC. Four Saints focuses on Great Beer for Great People through award winning beers and supporting the local community in numerous ways. Andrew Deming and Joel McClosky, the owners and executives, met in 2008 and began working towards opening a brewery in 2011. A successful Kickstarter campaign and tremendous support from the City of Asheboro and community drove the renovation of a century old building into a modern seven barrel brewhouse and English/Irish pub inspired taproom.

Great craft beer in a beautifully restored building. The bartenders were very attentive and knowledgeable. The beer selection was really varied and interesting. We particularly enjoyed the Pomegranate Ginger Beer. Truly unique, not to hot or too sweet, but still spicy, refreshing and balanced. We are taking home a growler of this one. As a bonus it was Harry Potter trivia night!
This is a must visit if you are in Asheboro.

Four Saints is a great brewery to visit, Asheboro is really coming along as a quaint town for food and beverage. My husband and his best friend love to come here but our experience this evening makes me never want to return. My girlfriend does not drink beer. Fortunately they have a few wine selections. The guys ordered from the bar and brought our wine to us in a plastic cup. When the bartender with a mustache that curls on the ends came to our table, we asked for a glass to pour our wine in. He said with St. Paddy's day celebration, they were just providing plastic cups, however, they put the guys beer tasting in a glass. So we asked for one of those. He said no and asked us if we wanted to speak to the manager. We said no, we don't want to speak with the manager, we just want one of those glasses. He said I'll get the manager. He never came back. Once we were done with our drinks he was near by so my friend grabbed him and said we weren't mad we just wanted a glass. He said I don't have time, that is just my line. Pretty much he was telling us, I don't have time to deal with requests from customers and to get them off my back I tell them I'll get the manager. What a jerk. He totally dismissed and disregarded a customer. I don't want to ever go back but the guys will and if we do, I will make sure to avoid this bartender and go directly to the owner or another bartender. We ended up pouring our wine in our husband's tasting glasses. That's all we wanted in the first place. The ownership and other bar staff have been extremely friendly, this review is about our experience tonight with this one bartender.

First, thank you for joining us for our annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration. It's always a great time, and this year it was the single busiest day we have ever had at the brewery. More people were in and out of our taproom that day than any other day we've been in business. We knew were going to be busy, just not as busy as we were.
Next, regarding the experience described, I apologize for it not meeting a certain standard. We had a chance to discuss this that night. I was the guy who had the green and orange beard.
As the owner, in anticipation of a large crowd, I made the call that no full pour glassware (16oz), half pour glassware (8oz), or wine glassware was to be used. This decision was made for efficiency and effective serving purposes - less dishes needing to be done, less glassware broken, and less chance of running out of glassware. The small tasting glassware was permitted for tasting purposes due to the minimum number of those we were going to go through due to not doing flights that day/night.
Les, the bartender you are describing, is not a jerk. I'm not a fan of adults name calling, especially after only one interaction. He is one of the hardest working, most pleasant, on point people I've ever had the pleasure to work with. It's unfortunate, that due to other circumstances, this was not the experience you had. Les was following my explicit directions for an anticipated higher volume of customers. His asking about seeing a manager is a simple protocol we have to maintain efficient and effective communications between staff and managers/owners. I believe the refusal of glassware for wine, and direction to a manager/owner, would have been the same from any of the other bartenders that night for the same reason.
I do hope you will join your join your husband if/when he visits again. If so, your first glass of wine is on me. Maybe Les will be able to pour it for you and you'll get a chance to know one of our tremendous Four Saints' family members a little better.
Cheers and thank you,
Joel

I and my wife visited Four Saints yesterday. There were two IPAs on tap but I was only able to sample one before ordering. There is a one sample only policy at this brewery. How can you decide which to drink if only being able to sample one beer? The bartender was very off putting and seemed to talk down to me when I asked to sample both. He kept repeating `You can have one sample or purchase a flight.' He must have said that 4 times.
We will not return to this brewery.

Hi Matt. Let me start by saying I was disappointed to read about your experience with one of our bartenders. This type of encounter is quite out of the norm. Your feedback has given me insight into some training I need to provide. Thank you for that. Please accept my apologies about this aspect of your visit.
Yes, what you experienced regarding the one sample is how we currently do things. We do offer flights of four 5oz samples of draft beers for the sake of being able to enjoy some of what we offer in order to help make the best decision for you about what you would like to enjoy as an on or off-premise purchase. We also offer half pours of all draft beers. I know there are craft beer establishments that allow as many as samples as asked for. This is not our model. I'm sorry this one thing has caused you to decide not to come back. Our small, family-owned business thanks you for at least giving us a chance. While I don't know if you ordered a beer while you were here, if you did I hope you enjoyed the hard work and genuine craftsmanship we put into every ounce of our beer. Cheers, and thank you.

This isn't about the beer because we couldn't even get service. There were three bar tenders. Two were standing there staring at us and the other was helping another customer. We sat from 4:45-5:05 with zero service before we finally walked out. So incredibly disappointing.

Amanda, I am disappointed to read your first experience at the Four Saints taproom was not a good one. We strive to provide great customer service, and you did not get that at all based on your review. From your review I'm not sure if you were sitting at the bar or at a table.
If you experienced this type of poor service while sitting at the bar, I can assure it is highly unusual and unacceptable.
If at a table, we do not provide table service at the taproom currently. To order beers one must approach the bar to place an order. There is not signage up indicating that, and I am taking the steps necessary to fix that issue. Also, based on your review, if two bartenders did notice you over a period of 20 minutes sitting at a table without beers, without saying anything or acknowledging you, that's an issue that is also currently being resolved.
Regardless, your experience in our taproom is not what we intend for anyone to have when they visit the first or tenth time. I hope that at some point in the future you will decide to give us another opportunity to provide you better service and, hopefully, some good beer. If you would like to discuss further or provide any other details, please feel free to call me at the brewery, (336) 610-3722, or email me at joel@foursaintsbrewing.com.
Again, my apologies and thank you for bringing this situation to our attention so that we can take the proper steps to be better.
Cheers,
Joel McClosky, CEO

4 Saints opened recently to much fanfare. The facilities are state of the art, comfortable and attractive. I've tried 4 of their beers. The ESB, Stout, Hefeweizen, and Potter's Clay amber ale. All are very good and exactly what you would expect from a craft brewed beer. Do yourself a favor... Stop by 4 Saints.

As someone who never met a craft beer he didn't want to try, I visited Asheboro, NC for the first time recently and knew I just had to stop by the Four Saints tap-house --- I was not disappointed. Although it was hard to narrow down the choices, I tried a total of 5 different micro brews that were on tap at the time, and I enjoyed each and every one of them. Of particular note were the Omie Blond Ale and the Potter's Clay Amber Ale, which are available pretty much on a year round basis.
Four Saints offers flights, half pours and full pours, which allows for a lot of mixing and matching and experimentation. They also offer growlers and other beers to go for those who either can't stay long or want to continue their craft beer experience back at home.
Tap-house manager Matt was also great at helping me navigate my way through Four Saints' beer menu, and his recommendation to try a new brew named Schmidly Bock Amber Lager was spot on, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
So if you fancy yourself a craft beer aficionado, or simply want to enjoy some fun times with some cool brews, please stop by the Four Saints tap-house in downtown Asheboro, NC. You'll be glad you did.

Wow. This has made our day here at FSBC! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It's so wonderful to hear that the things we work on day-in-and-day-out like hospitality, customer service, atmosphere, and the beer (of course!) come together to create this kind experience for someone.
I am happy to know we brightened your day a bit, and thank you for brightening ours.
Please imagine us lifting our arms up-and-down three times, clapping and then signaling to the end zone chanting "first down." Go, Mountaineers! (If you're ever in Morgantown, stop by the Iron Horse Tavern - Univeristy Town Center if you haven't. Tell Thom that Chief said hi.)
Cheers, and thank you!

No, we do not have a happy hour as happy hours are illegal in NC. On Sundays, all day for everyone of age, we have $1 off all full pours though.
Written May 20, 2018
Yes, we do tours on Sundays at 2:30, 4:00, and 5:30p. Please let the bartenders know that you are there for a tour. Tours are subject to cancellation due to low attendance or level of taproom business at that time.

They don't serve a full menu--they have some snacks and you can order food from local restaurants or pick some up and bring it in.
