Enjoyed it very much. All the staff were very friendly. Definitely would take two days to go through it if you want to really enjoy it. Wear comfortable shoes there is a lot of walking. Will definitely do it again.

Best Zoo Experience in the United States. Be prepared to do lots of walking. Can be both crowded and hot during the summer.

I went today and it was amazing but it so big my feet hurt so bad I walked 50'364 steps. But it is good for young children.

To be fair we went in the winter an a lot of things were closed. I think it would have been better in the summer. Lots of walking to see it all.

Okay, so going to a zoo you might ask, gorgeous? Yes it was!!! Being from Ohio we don't see a lot of the wild life they had in NC. The way they split the experience was a new take for us, and the pictures we...More

Great day trip. Not crowded in the winter season. Unique setting.... Not the typical"zoo"appearance. Inexpensive. Consider the yearly membership if you plan on going more than once.

I did not check out the situation for wheelchair assessability, but I do know that there are free trams, buses and shuttles around the zoo, and to the parking lots. There is a hop on site near each entrance, and one more... More

I would suggest the Hampton Inn. There's another hotel right beside it also. These are the closest.

I stayed at the Hampton Asheboro with my grandkids. They loved the large indoor pool, and breakfast was great. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
