We visited Spooky Woods Haunted Attraction this weekend and it was amazing. The many production sets and people in costumes was super impressive. This is a very immersive experience where you walk through a dimly lit haunted house, a freighting cornfield, crypts and tombs and other scary sets. With plenty of goblins and ghouls to jumps from behind, above and below you, to get you to scream and run with fright. The amount of detail they put into the sets and music was well worth the price of admission. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

When trying to review or explain an experience on going to The Best Haunted Attraction in The USA in my humble opinion, it is hard to figure out where to start, when you are walking through what should be everyone's picture of hell which appears to be never ending. The effects are so spectacularly gruesome, freaky, realistic, and awesome. The actresses and actors that staffed the haunt, knew where to stand, position, hide, blend in, distract, whatever it took to make me pretty much urinate myself about 15 times. It took just an hour to get through the haunt. During this time, my work stress, my dating stress, my family stress, all disappeared. We were and all will be transported to a dark and better place for a good view of what hell looks like. I cannot express how great the effects and actors are the artistic interpretation and effort you see everywhere here
So much changes every year, you can tell the folks that run this take all year to build it up for us to enjoy each October! You can't find a better haunt experience for the $, trust me I know!

So our first visit to Kersey Woods was last night, the Spooky Woods. I was skeptical when my friends invited me, and the car line to get in was pretty long....
BUT ...SO WORTH IT !!!
These people have gone ALL OUT ! The attention to detail was amazing, little knick knacks inside the haunted buildings, lighting sounds and scary actors as well as "dummies" , you never know whats around the next corner ( or in between the walls etc)
Totally worth the $30 admission.
We WILL be BACK !!

Me and my 2 kids decided to go here cause all the hype this place is given we where so excited only to be very disappointed. We traveled well over an hour and the wait was horrible. Don’t be deceived by the pictures they have posted because it is no where’s near accurate. This place has more props then anything. There where barely many scare jumps at all and the corn field was nothing but us just walking through with no one jumping out. When you do get to go through they rush the groups through right on top of each other so you run into everyone else. Most of there actors will just stare at you not even try to scare you. Not worth the price at all save your money and travels. I’m so disgusted with the money I paid for nothing. When we finally got home from the place it was almost 3:00 in the morning if that tells you anything and when we arrived to spooky woods it was 8:30 pm.

If I could give negative marks I would, I'd never recommend this place to anyone. Last night we waited in line over an hour and 15 minutes on a back road just to get into this place. We paid $107.00 for VIP and believe me there's nothing VIP about it. If you pay this much you should not have to wait in the general admission traffic to enter. If people go online and order their tickets in advance and pay extra you should be able to get in much faster. After setting in our truck for so long we no longer wanted to enter the attraction, so we can't tell you how good it was. It seems they are not setup to handle this kind of crowd. Upon arriving to the lot we were told to go to the ticket booth to ask for our refund it was the main front lot on Kersey Valley road and it was not 1/3 full. This was the one we were turned away from at first to go set in line for so long. It's not worth it, don't waste you time or money. We had also schedule tickets for our whole family for the Corn Maze and Christmas but we will be cancelling them also.

I’m not sure how this place is getting such good reviews, I went through this haunt last night their last night of the season, which most haunts tend to turn it up a notch for, this haunt was an exception, I’ve heard of this haunt for years now and have never been there till tonight. I bought 5 tickets for me and friends to come here and we were all hyped and excited to go. We even had really higher hopes walking through the midway and seeing the Dj, we was thinking this haunt has money it has scenery, it has potential, that’s where the enjoyment ended, when we entered the haunt we noticed very good scenery and effects but shortly into the haunt everyone just ended up in bunched up lines with multiple groups piled up behind and in front of us there was no separating or splitting up groups they all bunched up, the actors were not good at their job they just stood in one place and barely spoke didn’t have a scene or skit they were just there to fill space in between awesome scenery. This haunt has so much potential but they need to focus more on actors and scare factors than just looks

We ended the season 2 weeks early due to COVID-19 precautions and our health department asking us to help stop the spread of the virus. We had to shorten the attraction to comply with mandates, this was not our intent and we were lucky to open this season at all. We closed most of the shops to deter groups from hanging out, we cut off the lights in the midway to encourage guests to leave as soon as they finished the attraction. This year was not the show we wanted to have, but we did what we could. If you want to contact us email info@kerseyvalley.com

Has not aged well over the years. Some sets seem incomplete or desperately random. A few very good sets, but these are in the first few rooms you experience. A few good scare actors, the rest are lifeless and project their presence before they try to scare you. Terrible cue system where Immediate access was tossed into VIP. Should have known which one would line up where. They take your picture in the beginning, would have been nice to have, except they lost mine. They used to have more roaming scare actors in the cue, only had 1 this night, and it was the first weekend they were open. Senseless wandering through a corn maze that pops you out at another cattle cue... this killed any spookiness about the maze. Wish it was better... they seem to have lost an art director, anything new seemed rushed and dark.

The parking attendant was extremely rude to me. As I drove towards the space the first parking attendant sent me to , the second attendant began yelling at me. I thought I went exactly where I was told. Luckily, I had already dropped my teenagers off.

When my teenagers arrived back at the car the first thing they said was that the workers were rude. Attending Spookywoods is NOT cheap! I paid for 4 teenagers to attend this event and to be treated that way on all levels was uncalled for. We WILL NOT return.

For years now, my Gold Standard for Halloween Haunts has been the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV. Last night, a new number one took the crown. Spookywoods was unbelievable, elaborate and just plain fun. I cannot believe I haven't been here before and I guarantee I will be back. Thanks for donating tickets to VETTIX, as well. We drove from DC just to go to this and it was TOTALLY WORTH IT! We loved it!!!

We went here for numerous years and loved it. It had been about 7 years since we have gone and decided to take a night and go again. It was disappointing unless walking through a muddy cornfield with a few characters standing there is your thing. The set designs were cool but when you were done you realized there was not a whole lot of characters, but that you just walked through a bunch of dark sets with a lot of noises and surprise air “sprays” to scare you. When we were done both of us went “that’s it?” From leaving the car to return to the car, going through security, going through the house, then the bathroom and then back to the car it was a tad more than 30 minutes. Paid for the fast pass and absolutely felt disappointed. Staff was friendly so no complaints there. We drive from about 3 hours away to do a bunch of these haunted houses there because in the past they have been awesome. We wouldn’t come back.
