Stayed in Parkers’Creek campground, Loop 2 just across the camp road from the lake. Electric and water hook ups. Bathhouse had up grades since our last trip with sensor toilets and showers! We were there for 2 week and loop was never completely full and...More
We have been camping here for over a decade. Need I say more...Ten years ago there was hardly anyone in the whole campground! Now, you’d better make reservations weeks in advance because it has become that popular. Great for outdoor activities, lake swimming, fishing, boating,...More
Not at lake is very large with many and I do mean many entrances. Some just for boat launching others for family swim time. There is also a place to rent boats! No matter what your plan is the lake is gorgeous and relaxing, clean...More
We love this place for camping. The sites are large with lots of trees between. Bath houses are clean an kept well. They have several campgrounds and a few beach areas on the lake. We like popular point the most. Sites are on or very...More
We live 20 minutes away and have camped on this lake (tents and RV’s) for 20 years. The lake is huge. They have over 1000 campsites in 3 or 4 campgrounds. It’s a great destination. Lots of beaches, boat ramps and one marina.
Rented a beautiful pontoon from Crosswinds Boating Center. Great experience. No issues. No waiting. Everything was right on time and the guys that set you up in the boat were great. Cant wait to go back.
I can't believe it's taken me so long to find this place. I've been driving to Wrightsville Beach which is 2.5 hours each way in order to enjoy the shore.
Sure this is a lake but a HUGE lake and it's less than 30 minutes...More
Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is a beautiful park with big lake views of nature. Nice beaches to enjoy. Grills for cookouts are available. Hiking trails. Pet friendly. Ebenzer Church area is stunning.
Jordan Lake is good for boating. Several great state parks for access. Main lake can get a bit rough, but coves are fun to explore, especially by kayak. We have rented a pontoon boat a few times. Boats are pretty worn but OK. Be aware...More

In Loop2 Parker’s Creek the tent sites were right by the lake vs sites with hook up on the other side of the road. There was no play area in our loop but there is a beach area for the lake in Parker’s Creek area with some playground items, bath house and picnic tables and parking about a mile or less from loop 2. I think most of the other camping areas have this sort of set up but not 100% sure on that. Loop 3 & 4 are also none reservation first come first serve.
