Went camping August 5 at Poplar Point. Stayed in Loop J. Had rain which flooded our site J049, Location was nice since we had our boat and were able to tie up tree just below our site. Bathrooms were fair and grounds look a little un-kept. I would go again but would choose another loop.

Crosswinds Campground made it happen! We heard that Jordan lake was a great place to go so we gave it a whirl. We pitched our tent in Area B of Crosswinds because it has the best proximity to the swimming area. The swimming area needs more sand. It was suffering from erosion and poor drainage. The kids still had a... More

Clearly being on the water at Jordan Lake is a fabulous experience. If you have ever wanted to enjoy a day on the water and not feel that everyone is staring at you with their binoculars. Then this is the lake. Accept for some campsites there are no homes built lakeside. This gives the the opportunity to enjoy the eagles... More

Our all day pontoon trips on the lake are always incredible! The natural beauty of the lake & openness to wander in & out of the coves & play make it perfect! It's great friends & family fun with a great sunset @ the end of the day!

Great place to come for the day! Kids love the play ground and love playing in the sand! We love coming on Tuesday afternoons for some quiet time and let the kids just run around and play! Great for having a picnic as well!!

Very convient for a short picnic, or a few days camping (not in the summer), and for swimming since there is a sand beach there very suitable for all ages.

We camped in our popup for the weekend. We had our own beach to swim, fish, ENO, and raft off of, in one of the many coves in Poplar Point Campground. The water was bath water temperature, or warmer, by the afternoon so swimming is best in the morning. Most of the sites were relatively level except ours had been... More

Great place to camp, with many water front sites. Great amenities with a variety of sites to pick from. The best sites on the water are usually reserved well in advance so plan ahead . . . way ahead!

The lake water too dirty. The park closes too early and locks you inside. It expensive for what little the experience is.

The sites are very roomy. We had electric and water hookup, and a very private patio area off the back with picnic table and firepit. The entire site was covered by shade, very helpful with temperatures in the high 90's. A hint : arrive before dark! We had difficulty finding the campground in absolute darkness. Also, keep in mind the gates are locked... More
