The experience was splendid! My mom and I went during COVID and Rashid gave us the family room all to ourselves! There were no other people there at the time and he mentioned during the outbreak he was only taking a few people at a time. Everything was super clean and all necessary SOPs were being taken. The treatment itself was also amazing, we had two women who did a fantastic job, it wasn’t too rough at all! The essential oil massage was heavenly 🤩 On to the reason I’m writing this review, I unfortunately left my very precious necklace at the hammam. I didn’t realise till a couple of hours later when I called the hammam and spoke to Rashid. Within 10 minutes he called me back to say he found it and within 2 hours he, himself, had delivered it back to my hotel! You really can’t beat that customer service! The services are a little pricier than those in the marina and markets but it really is worth it and it reflects the high quality in its cleanliness, customer service and quality of services! On a side note, the taxi driver that dropped us to the hammam waited outside without us asking him to and then attempted to charge us the extra money by starting the meter at 30 liras instead of the usual 5, so be careful of that!

A friend wanted to check this Hamam out as she had gone to the one in Bodrum before. When we got there the gentleman behind the desk gave us some information about the facilities and was a bit creepy. He also was quite touchy with the older ladies in our group which was not wanted. Once in the Hamam the experience was nice. The scrub down was very relaxing and thorough however after that we were rushed out of the Hamam into the relaxing area which was unfortunate. It would have been nice to chill in there a bit longer. In the end the whole experience was alright however the price was So not worth it. We were there for maybe 1 hour and it cost us 35€. Also a friend that came along didn't feel well after entering the Hamam so she sat outside in the relaxing area waiting for us. There was an attended that was very nice to her and brought her water but they still chargednher 15€ for nothing!! Very unprofessional.

My cousin was visiting Turkey for the first time and was keen to enjoy a hamam experience. We booked through an agent in Bodrum and was collected from near our holiday home and taken to Rashid's Hamam. There we were subjected to the ultimate in hard sell. The staff were not in the slightest bit interested unless we bought all the extras. As my cousin is from Vancouver and unlikely to be able to visit Turkey again, we agreed to a specialist scrub and an oil massage. The first room was very pleasant, like a sauna, and then we were taken into the next room for the scrub and wash with bubbles. They didn't do a specialist scrub with either aromatic salt or coffee grouts and was over very quickly. We were then shown to the jacuzzi. Most of the jets were not working. After a little while an attendant came and asked if we had enjoyed the experience. We told them that we had not had the treatment we had paid for and so were taken back to the scrub room. We were left there for 15-20 minutes with no-one around. We had just decided to leave when two masseurs came into the room to complete the treatments. They then proceeded to scrub our already scrubbed bodies very vigorously and then poured the salt on our backs. It felt as though hot wax was being poured over us and we screamed for them to stop. They washed the salt off and proceeded to finish the treatment with coffee grouts. The whole of my cousin's back broke out into a red and bleeding rash. The staff were completely uninterested. Overall the staff were rude and the treatment expensive, painful and inappropriate. I have experienced a hamam before and this compared in a completely negative way. It in no way reflected the experience of a proper hamam. I would not recommend this hamam to anyone.

We were a group of eight and the haman was recommended by our hotel...which was disappointing in itself. We were told after we changed and after we were all put in the same haman (4 men and 4 women) That the womens area was "broken". The male attendants seemed to work hard and all had good attitudes and most of the men enjoyed the experience. The girls found it very smelly with areas of mould around and ordinary change rooms and facilities. There were only 2 female attendants so two of the women had to sit and wait for all the men to finish then two women. One of the female workers looked bored and acted totally exhausted. A hair wash was included that involved splashing a bit of shampoo on giving two light rubs to the scalp then a wash off. After the scrub we were ushered into a unisex large room with a dozen or so beds with people in various stages of massage. Three of the women had male masseuses and although they were good though firm...being totally naked under a turkish towel was not ideal nor relaxing. This place need a good clean and freshen up. The women couldn't wait to get home and wash the whole experience away. We also have experienced haman's in other parts of Turkey but couldn't recommend this.

I have experienced other hamam's in Istanbul and in Bodrum but never one like this. I visited with 2 friends. We booked the day before and were asked to meet the taxi service on a road close to our complex. The driver was at least 15 minutes late and we were left standing in 30 degree sun without shade. On arrival at Rashid's we were welcomed curtly by an english speaking woman who sat us down, gave us a cold drink and proceeded with the sales pitch. We had already paid for the hamam and she was offering extras. My friend and I decided we didn't want anything extra and my other friend opted for a massage but asked for a lesser time and to pay less. This was agreed but as we didn't book anything more we were quickly dismissed and passed over to a very surly looking woman who made no effort to smile, just pointing to get us to follow her to the changing room. She became known as "Mrs Trunchball". She led us into the sauna and doused us with water, indicating we should lie down. This part was perfectly pleasant but after about 10 mins she returned with a male colleague and assigned him to myself while she tended to my friend who booked the massage. The first humiliation arose when the male masseur noticed I was wearing a swimsuit rather than a bikini and brought me a towel intimating that I should slip down my top. I refused and he seemed confused referring back to Mrs Trunchball who came over and tried to physically pull down my suit. I told her quite firmly that I did not wish to do this and she shrugged her shoulders and went back to my friend. The male then began his massage on my legs and I could feel quite firm pressure but didn't make any fuss about this. When he took me for my final rinsing (which is done with bowls of water being thrown over you), Mrs Trunchball came across and without any warning took the bowl from him, pulled out my costume at the back and then the front, poured water all over me and went back to her client! After this I was given a towel and shown out to a drying off area. Two of us sat there for about 10 mins, waiting for our friend to finish her massage but when Mrs Truchball next came out of the hamam with another client and spotted us, she immediately "shooed" us upstairs by putting her arm behind us and pushing us in that direction. Now, all this would be fairly laughable, except none of it was done in good humour. You expect a bit of comedy, having cold water thrown over you to make you gasp is part of it, I have experienced this before and laughed along with the staff. But this was different , especially as I woke the next day to find my legs covered in finger-point bruises and track marks where he had dug so deep!! I shall put these photos on for all to see. I emailed Rashid's, over a week ago with my complaint and my pictures. I have waited for their reply before posting this review and have heard nothing. This complex was indeed beautiful and well maintained but the staff were indifferent to customers needs and not interested if you weren't paying for extras. The building itself does not make it 5 star, a friendly and professional service is more important. Therefore I shall not be recommending this to anyone.
