A decent and wonderful environment to go with your family. There are many different subjects that can attract the attention of children and adults. There are dinosaur and whale skeletons, 800-year-old tree trunks, underwater skeletons, frozen animals and plants, metallurgical items, and a variety of stones. There are science experiments in the building opposite.. Dinosaur sculptures add a nice ambience.. There is no parking problem, the staff are attentive and friendly..
Infinite thanks to everyone who contributed to its construction.. I think it adds value to Ankara..

The museum is located next to Çankaya University near Middle East Technical University (exit A4-apr. 2km, you can easily find a parking place for free next to the museum). Its spacious, few real dynasaour exhibitions are present. There are dozens of different stones, gems, artifacts from pre historcik times. The museum has 3 different levels with different concepts starting from the formation of the planet Earth up to the evolution of mankind. Just across the museum there is another museum on energy with outdoor exhibitions; mine representations, oil wells, etc. Its a must see.

Another hidden value of Ankara, maybe due to its awkward location.

3-floor educative and interesting museum with a very rich collection.

As it belongs to the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration, the yard of the museum also contains nice models of mining facilities like oil well or coal mine.

Easy to access. It only took 12-13 minutes from Kizilay to the MTA. The museum is inside the institution. If you take the subway you have to walk 10–15 minutes to get to the museum but if you take the bus (411) from Guvenpark, you’ll get off right in front of the museum.
The museum is pretty big and interesting. Especially for stone lovers. It's usually not so crowded except Sundays.

Amazing creatures that lived in ancient times and in our time, especially dinosaurs, were very interesting. I wouldn't want to live at that timeAlso, the mines and precious stones extracted in our country are very interesting. Especially the special place of the boron mine is emphasized today.

After walking past the giant dinosaurs outside, you walk inside and see giant planets and the solar system. I loved that part! The museum is well organized and easy to understand where you are. I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.
