One of the biggest mosks of the world, and feels magical. It is already being used and in the center of the city. You can just visit and go on walking the city center.

it's not an old mosque but as a cop behind me said "sobhan allah", and this mosque is open, really open even in 00:00 am :D. I've been there 3 times and I prayed with them as an adventure in the shia style to see the reaction and everything go smoothly!! I didn't expect that.

Contemporary large building in the shape and function of a mosque; and the central one at that.Aspires to look like the classical Sinan architecture.

Huge outside and inside, with nice perspectives, it is not like the classic mosques in other towns but worth visiting

well if you re only coming to Ankara and wondering about big mosques; this is the only one. If not; spend your time in İstanbul where you can find plenty of them which are the real masterpieces of Ottoman mosque architecture and (of course) of Sinan the Architect. Yes, you ve got the point; unfortunately it is a replica...

I can recommend to have lunch at the first floor for waiting until prayer times. It is always available to find a place for prayer there.
